In Memory of Ronald Fodge

Ronald Fodge of Benton, son of the late John D. Westly Washington and Taletha Ann Crank Fodge, was born in Canalou, Missouri on January 7, 1946, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on March 2, 2019, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 25 days.
Mr. Fodge had grown up in Canalou and had lived in the Benton for many years. He had owned and operated Fodge Lawn Care. He was a Radio Controlled air plane builder, was a member of the Semo R.C. Flyers and a member of the Church of Christ in Sikeston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On September 8, 1968, he was married to Irma Jean Briley.
Surviving are his wife, Irma Jean Fodge of Benton; three sons, Spencer Fodge and Clarence Fodge both of Sikeston, J. D. Fodge of Leopold; two daughters, Ronda Bradham and Angela Fodge both of Benton; ten grandchildren; one brother, Spencer Fodge of St. Louis; and two sisters, Joyce Clubbs of Cahokia, Illinois and Trudy Huston of Cape Girardeau. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Fodge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, after 12:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter until time for services at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Dorthy Moore

Dorthy Moore, daughter of the late Gomile Nelson and Viola Johnson Nelson, was born in Ozan, Arkansas on October 3, 1938, and passed away at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Missouri on February 28, 2019, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Moore had been a resident of Malden for many years. She attended Mt. Cavalry Powerhouse in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and was a member. She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
On September 7, 1957 she married to Matthew Moore he preceded her in death on February 25, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters and husbands Barbara & Dobbie Herrion of Sikeston, Brenda & Clifford Hawkins of Matteson Illinois; one son Larry Moore of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Lou Maggie Ayers of Malden. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday March 6, 2019, at 1:00 PM in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Ronnie Webb of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Norman Snider

Norman Snider, son of the late Carl Snider and Lerlene Jackson Snider was born on March 22, 1941 in Frisco, Missouri and departed this life in the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on March 1, 2019 at the age of 77.
Mr. Snider was a former Heavy Equipment operator for Castor Township. He was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, Clines Island General Baptist Church. Norman attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield and was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.
Mr. Snider was first united in marriage to Sue Crews Snider. Mrs. Snider preceded him in death April of 2004. He was then united in marriage to Patricia Bennett on July 30, 2005 in Bloomfield, Missouri. Mrs. Patricia Snider survives of the home in Bloomfield.
Besides his wife, survivors include three sons, Jeff Snider (Debbie) of Dexter, Keith Snider (Jill) of Rogersville, Missouri, and Jeremy Snider (TeLisha) of Nashville, Tennessee; by one daughter, Kelly Lewis of Fenton, Missouri; and by one step-son, Lee McCormick of Houston, Texas; one brother, Dallas Snider (Marcie) of Catron, Missouri; by three sisters, Dot (Doyle) Mekan of Arnold, Missouri, Peggy Hardin of Catron, Missouri, and Charlotte (Dale) Griffin of Dexter, Missouri; also by nine grandchildren, Katie (Colin) Stewart, Olivia (Josh) Bryant, Ellen Snider, Jessica (Ben) Mills, Garret Snider, Jackson Snider, Max Snider and Izy Snider; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Emmy.
Besides his first wife Sue Snider and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Snider; and by two sisters, Linda Snider and Fay Snider.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday March 4, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.. Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Alice Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Neal Holloway

Neal Holloway of Puxico, son of the late Walter Harrison and Edith Hazel Keith Holloway, was born in Fagan, Missouri on July 30, 1924, and passed away at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on February 27, 2019, at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 27 days.
On June 27, 1950, he married Jean Cookson in Piggott Arkansas. She preceded him in death on August 24, 2009. He and Jean lived in Puxico and owned and operated Holloway Lumber, and Holloway Lime for many years, he also was a truck driver for Valley Steel. Neal also attended the First Baptist Church in Puxico and he served in the US Air Force. Neal was a 20 year member of the Lions Club, 60 years of the Puxico Masonic Lodge, and liked to travel and play checkers.
Surviving are three sons and wives, Doug & Ginger Holloway, Danny & Patty Holloway, David & Pat Holloway all of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter and husband Diane & Bill McClure of Puxico, Missouri; eight grandchildren; Mandy McClure McMillan & Brandon, Brad & Mandy Holloway, Jacque McClure Hodges & Dustin, Danielle Holloway Wunderlich & Mark, Patrick & Michelle Holloway, Jeanette Holloway Haley & Lucas, Andy & Sarah Holloway, Ryan McClure; nine great grandchildren; Parker, Griffin, & Ruby Jean Hodges, Grant & Luke McMillan, Sophia & Max Wunderlich, and Mary Claire & Blaire Holloway. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister Bessie Buttry; two brothers Russell Lynn Holloway and Walter Hoover Holloway.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 5:00 to 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Masonic services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Watkins & Sons Funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, with Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

In Memory Christine Delores Norden

Christine Delores Norden, daughter of the late Virgil Bennett and Annie Moring Bennett, was born in Bernie, Missouri on October 22, 1931 and departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on March 1, 2019 at the age of 87.
Mrs. Norden was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Malden, Missouri and a resident of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Emery J. “E.J.” Norden in Piggott, Arkansas on February 16, 1950. Mr. Norden preceded his wife in death on February 22, 1985.
Survivors include one son, Michael J. Norden & wife Donna of Bernie, Missouri; by one daughter, Catherine Ann Norden of Bernie, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Michael Norden Jr. & wife Robin, Marcus Norden and Tracie Cobb & husband Jeromy; by five Great-grandchildren, Eric Norden & wife Page, Brennen Norden, Aiden Norden, Ashley Weathers & Emery ”E.J.” Walls; by four Step-Great-grandchildren, Blakely Bradshaw, Rhyan Cobb, Darrik Cobb and Jayden Cobb; by one sister, Carolyn Buckley & husband Jerry Wayne of Malden, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by two brothers, Danny Bennett and Connie Bennett; by one sister, Evelyn Holtzhouser.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Allen Laszewski officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
