In Memory of Donald W. Hudgens Sr
Donald W. Hudgens Sr. 75 of Bloomfield, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2019 at 8:38 surrounded by his loving family at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Donald was born on March 5, 1943 at Parma, to Lloyd and Ruby Mae Parker Hudgens.

Donald always had a passion for planes and spent many years flying with his best friend Terry Irwin and his sister Bonnie who is also a pilot.  He was an aircraft mechanic for Air Evac in Cape Girardeau and also at Sikeston Memorial Airport before he retired.

He was an all-around outdoorsman.  He loved hunting with his boys and fishing with his girls and grandchildren on the farm.  He loved working on the farm with Mark, Bonnie and Bill.  Spending time with his family was his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edward Hudgens of Oran and Jerry Hudgens of Calvert City, Ky.

Survivors include, one sister Bonnie (Ken) Kornstett of Bloomfield, one brother Bill Hudgens of Oran and one sister-in-law Judy Hudgens of Calvert City, Ky; four children, Dwana (Buddy) McClaine of Benton, Don (Penny) Hudgens of Marble Hill, Deanna Hudgens of Benton and Darin (Tora) Hudgens of Bertrand; eleven grandchildren, AJ, Mark, Malori, Marrisa, Cody, Keri, JoHannah, SaVannah, Jody, Austin and Lilli; ten great-grandchildren, Solan, Kirrilee, Nash, Celia, Easton, Ridge, Holton, Liam, Luke and Beatley.  He was surely blessed.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Dexter Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
