In Memory of Doyle Gene Sanders

Doyle Gene Sanders of Essex, son of the late Elmer Lewis and Bessie Irene Purcell Sanders, was born in Essex, Missouri on November 12, 1939, passed away at his home in Essex on February 8, 2019, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 26 days.
Doyle had lived in Essex area all his life. He had worked as a farm laborer until he retired. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
On June 7,1961, he married Julia Sue Burton in Essex, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 15, 1982.
Surviving are one daughter, Penny Hall of Essex; two sons, Dale Sanders of Malden, Gary Sanders of Essex; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Sanders of Essex. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Irene Sanders; four brothers, Elmer J., James, Donnie and Charles Dee Sanders; and five sisters Geraldine Duncan, Mildred Williams, Anna Lea Duley, Wilma Jean Alberson, and Martha DeSmythe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, after 12:00 pm until time of services at 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Julian Lerma of Portageville officiating.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
