Dexter High School Wrestling Bearcats Earn First Ever District Championship

Ste. Genevieve, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats won the team District Championship on Saturday at the Class 2, District 1 Tournament in Ste. Genevieve. Four athletes earned first place and 11 qualified for the state tournament.
The Bearcats finished with 187 points, beating second-place Ste. Genevieve by 3.5 points.
According to Dexter head coach James Sneed this District Championship is believed to be the first ever in school history.
Travis Waldner, Jett Featherston, Colten Gibson, and Bryston Pemberton won district championships.

Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield High School celebrated their Winter Sports Senior Night on Thursday, February 7, 2019 during the boys basketball game against South Pemiscot. Honored were cheerleaders, pep band, and boys basketball seniors.
Ethan Stoker is the nephew of Kevin and Thara DeArman and is a member of the boys basketball team as their manager.
His future plans are to work after high school.

Brandon Siler is the son of Michael Siler and Crystal Battles and is a member of the boys basketball team as their manager.
His future plans are to attend a college or join the Navy.

Malik Williams is the son of Latrisha and Chris Burkman and is a member of the boys basketball team.
His future plans are to continue playing basketball and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
