
Bloomfield, Missouri - The Dexter JV Bearcats jumped out to an early lead over the Woodland JV Cardinals in Game #6 of the Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) Boys Basketball Tournament on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
By the end of the first period the Bearcats led 15-9, at the end of the second it was 38 -16, going into the fourth quarter they were ahead 56-23 with a running mercy clock. Final score was 67-31 eliminated Woodland in the semifinal game. Dexter will play in the championship against Bernie JV on Friday night at 7 p.m.
Jackson Allen had a game-high 20 points for the Bearcats. He hit six 3-pointers and one bucket.
Dexter tallied 19 treys in the game, 12 in the first half!
Nine other Bearcats accounted for the other 47 points.
Woodland's Josh Duncan tallied a team-high 12 points on 6 buckets.
