Malden, Missouri - The Malden Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament continues on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Dexter beat South Pemiscot and will play Kennett at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday,  Kennett defeated New Madrid.  South Pemiscot will face New Madrid at 4 p.m.

Poplar Bluff beat Twin Rivers and will face Bernie at 6:30 p.m.  Malden will compete against Twin Rivers at 5:25 p.m.

5th place game will be at 11:15 a.m. 3rd place game will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the Championship will be at 12:30 p.m.

Seeds are as follows: #1 Dexter, #2 Poplar Bluff, #3 Bernie, #4 New Madrid, #4 Kennett, #6 Malden, #7 Twin Rivers, and #8 South Pemiscot.

Semifinal games will be on Wednesday, January 9th with Championship at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12th.  3rd Place game will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The #2 ranked Bernie Mules came out on top against the Kennett Indians 52-47 in a quarterfinal game at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Thursday, December 27, 2018.

At the end of the first quarter Bernie led Kennett 12-7, by halftime they increased their lead to 25-15 and by the beginning of the fourth quarter had a nice lead of 41 - 30.

Weston Zoll recorded a game-high 14 points for Bernie.  He also had two 3-pointers.  

Kennett had three players in double digits.  Quayv'aun Harrell tallied 13, La'Quez Pulliam had 10 and Jackson Henfling added 13.

Kennett will play Dexter in a semifinal match-up for 5th place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018.

Bernie will play Twin Rivers at 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The #5 seeded East Prairie Eagles outlasted the #4 Doniphan Dons 56-53 in an upset quarter final show-down on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.

Brian Merryman tallied a game-high 29 points for the Eagles including three 3-pointers.  Derez Tipler finished with 14 points including two treys.

Wyatt Marler had a team-high 23 points while Tren Lippoldt recorded 20 points.  Marler also had one trey.

East Prairie will play Hayti at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018.  Doniphan will play Van Buren in a semifinal match-up for 5th place at 4 p.m. Friday.
