In Memory Douglas Edward Robinett
Douglas Edward Robinett, son of Virginia Maxine Vaughn and the late Charles Edward Robinett was born on January 30, 1969 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on December 12, 2018 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 49 years.

Mr. Robinett served in the Army National Guard in Dexter, Missouri.  He was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.  He was a Manager for Tyson in the General Production Shipping Department in Dexter, Missouri.  He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1987.

Survivors include, his mom, Virginia Vaughn of Bloomfield, Missouri and step-mother Joy Lynn Robinett of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Devon Robinett (Whitley) of Dexter, Missouri and Brent Robinett (Yeximani) of Bloomfield, Missouri; one brother, Gordon Robinett of Bloomfield, Missouri and one step-brother Clay Holifield of Puxico, Missouri: two step-sisters, Kelly Kinney of Bloomfield, Missouri and Angie Ledbetter of Advance, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sariyh Robinette and Brooklynn Robinett.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Rice and Rev. Dale Jones officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

In Memory of Elsie M. Pointer
Elsie M. Pointer, daughter of the late Frank Cuevas Lopez and Josefa Baez de Cuevas was born on October 25, 1925 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and departed this life on December 12, 2018 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Facility in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Pointer was a Truant Officer for the Bernie Public School System for many years. She was loved by all the kids and faculty in the school system and was loved by anyone who met her.

On November 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Bryon K. “Gabe” Pointer in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Pointer preceded her in death on August 2, 2004.

Survivors include:  two sons, Robert S. Barney (Janice) of Dexter, Missouri and Kent Pointer (Jenny) of Denver, Colorado; four daughters, Eleanor Marie Sherfield (Floyd) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Diane Hollis of New Orleans, Ivette Rothschild (Andy) of Clayton, Missouri and Marla Sexton (Jim) of Denver, Colorado; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Frank Cuevas Baez and one sister, Lillian Cuevas de Zamora.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. 

Funeral service will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Ron Beaton officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

In Memory of Martin H. Edwards
Martin H. Edwards, son of the late Clarence Edwards and Effie Martin Edwards was born on March 4, 1934 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on December 11, 2018 at the Westfield Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Mr. Edwards was a veteran of the United States Army.  He attended the Mount Gilead (Hills) Church in Bloomfield, Missouri and was a farmer and factory worker.

On April 7, 1957 he was first united in marriage to Lois Marie Stoker.  Mrs. Lois Edwards preceded him in death on February 6, 1994.  On July 24, 1999 was united in marriage to Ruth Bedow.  Mrs. Ruth Edwards survives in Pennsylvania.

In addition to his wife Ruth, he is survived by two daughters, Angie Denkins of Dexter, Missouri and Sharon Edwards of Dexter, Missouri; by two grandsons, Jeff Boyt and Eric Boyt; and by one great-grandson Walker Boyt.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Edwards, Marvin Edwards, LeRoy Edwards and Alfred Edwards; two sisters, Edna Shipman and Betty Jo (Ruth) Bilderback.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. 

Interment will follow in the Mount Gilead Hills Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In Memory Sandra Kay Perry Massey
Sandra Kay Perry Massey, daughter of the late Dallas Perry and Lydia Fulkerson Perry was born on August 19, 1946 in Aquilla, Missouri and departed this life on December 11, 2018, at her residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.

On January 8, 1966 she was united in marriage to Larry Massey in Bloomfield, Missouri.  Mr. Massey survives of the home.

Mrs. Massey was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.  She was a housewife and loved reading, gardening, serving others in her church and helping her husband on their family farm.  After they retired from farming they enjoyed taking vacations in their RV.

In addition to her husband Larry, she is survived by one daughter, Julie Schoolfield of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and by one granddaughter, Lyla Schoolfield.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4:30p.m. until 8:00p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alice Fowler officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

In Memory of Loyd Aarant
Loyd Aarant, son of the late Harold Aarant and Joan Knight Aarant was born on June 4, 1945 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on December 6, 2018 at the age of 73 years.

Mr. Aarant was a veteran of the National Guard and was self-employed in construction.

He is survived by two sons, Tad and Aaron; by two sisters, Sandra McGovern of Nason, Illinois and Melana Allen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; by one granddaughter, Sabra Aarant.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
