In Memory of Doris Faye Butler Ellis

Doris Faye Butler Ellis, daughter of the late WE and Lillian Hamlin Butler, was born in Essex, Missouri on January 23, 1944, and passed away on November 23, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 1 days.
She had lived in Dexter most of her life. She attended the Friendship Baptist Church of Dexter, Missouri.
On May 17, 1961, she was married to Clarence Dale Ellis in Stoddard County, Missouri, he preceded her in death on April 17, 2014.
Surviving are, one son and daughter in law, Ronnie & Tracyee Ellis of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters and son in law, Bonnie & Steven Smith of Dexter, Missouri, and Lesa Lafferty of Dexter, Missouri; seven grandchildren; Jayson Ellis, Jaycob Ellis, Stephanie Crain, Leigh Smith, Houston Lafferty, Emily Grobe, amd Evan Grobe; four great-grandchildren; Addyson Ellis, Connor, Collin, and Rori Crain; one son in law, Aaron Grobe of Dexter; four brothers Chester Butler of Jackson, Missouri; Billy Butler of Rose Pine Louisiana; WL Butler of Gilman City, Missouri; Hershel Butler of Odessa, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy DiGirolamo, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, C.H. Butler, and two sisters, Florence Taylor, Wanda Sims, and one daughter Connie Grobe.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services was held Monday, November 26 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dale Holman of Dexter, Missouri.
Interment with be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
