In Memory of Charles Edward Stanfill
Charles Edward Stanfill, son of the late Johnie R. Stanfill and Lizzie M. Trammel Stanfill was born on December 8, 1933 in Bernie, Missouri and departed this life on November 6, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Mr. Stanfill was a Veteran in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter for Tyler Pipe Industries in Tyler, Texas. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas and was currently living in Dexter, Missouri.

Survivors include: one son, Tony Myrick of Dexter; two daughters, Derenda Underwood (Rick) of Dexter and Charlene Heflin of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Heather Greer, Heath Hunsaker, Dylan Heflin, Justice Heflin, Devin Myrick, Tracy Dawson and Chris Waters; seven great-grandchildren, Emily Smith, Layken Smith, Baron Greer, Symphony Hunsaker, Sebastian Hunsaker, Victoria Hunsaker and Emma Myrick.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Lee Waters, one brother, Cletus Board and one sister, Shirley Smith.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Blake Brown officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

In Memory of Betty Reynolds Acton
Betty Reynolds Acton, daughter of the late Cletus Denkins and Julia Menley Denkins was born on January 6, 1936 in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on November 5, 2018 at the Dexter Living Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 82 years.

Betty owned and operated Betty’s TV and Radio Repair.  She was a member of the Southwest Church of Nazarene in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.

On January 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to E. J. Reynolds and to that union three sons were born. Mr. Reynolds preceded her in death on December 15, 1985.  On June 15, 1996 she was then united in marriage to Dewayne Berl Acton.  Mr. Acton preceded her in death on December 17, 2003.

Survivors include: two sons, Don Reynolds (Theresa) of Dexter and Rick Reynolds of Bloomfield; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Reynolds of Dexter; three brothers, Bill Denkins of Puxico, Ted Denkins of Dexter and David Denkins of Bloomfield; by seven grandchildren, Dawson Reynolds, Dakota Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds (Amanda), Major Will Reynolds (Nikki), Amanda Cochnan, Jennifer Watson and Josh Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren, Josh Reynolds, Sarah Reynolds, McKenzie Harper Reynolds, Joanna Shelby Reynolds, Levi Cochran, Kira Cochran, Payton Cochran, Americas Watson, Joslin Watson and Lance Watson.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Reynolds; two sisters, Shirley Jeter and Wilena Tompkins.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 8, 2018 with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. 

Interment will follow in the South Pleasant Valley Cemetery (Triplett).

Ashlie Kennedy, daughter of Melanie Ann Kennedy Shake, was born in Dexter, Missouri on July 12, 1980, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on November 2, 2018, at the age of 38 years, 3 months and 20 days.

She had lived in Dexter, Missouri all of her life. She attended the First Church of God of Dexter, Missouri. She loved hunting arrowheads and making jewelry.

Surviving are one son, Theron Thomas Unger of Sikeston, Missouri; her mother Melanie Ann Shake of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one sister, Angela Hays of Dexter, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Shirley Kennedy of Dexter, Missouri; four uncles and aunt, Ben Kennedy of Bernie, Missouri; Terry Kennedy of Puxico, Missouri, Mike Kennedy of Dexter, Missouri and Patricia Sharp of St. Peters, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. Ashlie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Amos Kennedy and sister, Amy Dawn Kennedy.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, after 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018, at 12:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Elder Dearvin McClellan of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Sadler's Chapel Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Evelyn LaVern Griffin
Evelyn LaVern Griffin of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Elvin Shipley and Cleo Bess Smith, was born near Advance, Missouri on April 9, 1937, passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on November 2, 2018, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 24 days.

Evelyn had lived in this area all of her life. She had worked as Secretary in the family business. She was a member of God's Living Church and was a devoted student of the Bible. She had been a member of the Eastern Star and had been one of the founders of the Stoddard County Republican Club and had served as Treasurer for several decades. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.

On February 12, 1955, she was married to Gerald Griffin in Sardis, Mississippi.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald Griffin of Bloomfield; one son, Nathan Hale Griffin of Bloomfield; brother & sister in law, Ivan & Sue Griffin of Bloomfield; sister in law, Vivian Smith of Detroit, Michigan; nephew, Derick Griffin of Cape Girardeau , Many other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Shipley Smith, James Carl Smith and Joseph Andrew Smith.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Dexter.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Dexter with the Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield and Rev. Tim Russell of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rock Point Cemetery near Advance with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Sam Robinson
Sam Robinson, son of the late Louis Robinson and Louise Rogers Robinson was born on July 26, 1942 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on November 3, 2018 at his residence in Glen Allen, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Robinson was a butcher and a resident of Bloomfield.

On April 30, 1985 he was united in marriage to Lois Robinson in Dexter.  Mrs. Robinson preceded him in death on November 16, 2017.

He is survived by one brother, Danny Robinson of Advance, Missouri.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Ritter officiating
