In Memory of Florence Mildred Sanders
Florence Mildred Sanders, daughter of the late Charlie Anderson Swallows and Lula Swan Swallows was born on August 11, 1926 in Rural Essex, Missouri and departed this life on October 29, 2018 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 92 years.

Mrs. Sanders worked as a cook for the T.S. Hill Middle School in Dexter for many years.  She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.

On July 3, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Sanders in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Sanders preceded her in death on May 7, 2013.

Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Lynn Sanders (Joyce) of Dexter; by four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; by three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren and by many other family and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Wayne Sanders; by three brothers, Andy Swallows, Elmer Swallows and Charles Swallows.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. 

Funeral service will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.

In Memory of Jackie Lynden Griffy
Jackie Lynden Griffy of Dexter, Missouri, son of the late David Baxter and Betty Jo McGraw Pepper Griffy, was born on December 15, 1960, in Harrisonville, Missouri, and passed away at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Center Midtown in Columbus, Georgia on October 27, 2018, at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 12 days.

Jack had lived in Missouri most of his life and Wappapello and Dexter the past 20 years. He worked as truck driver for Rapco Trucking of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was in the U.S. Army, where he served as military police. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan and enjoyed Nascar racing, fishing, and camping.

Surviving are one sister, Sherri Griffy of Boonville, Missouri; his two boys "Waylon" and "Willie" his dachshund traveling buddies; two aunts, Linda Hallmark of Wappapello, Missouri, Betty Griffy of Springfield, Missouri; one uncle, Don Mathis of Dexter, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and David Griffy

Friends may call on Friday November 2, 2018 after 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri until time for services at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Tucker of Matthews, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Beverly Watson James
Beverly Watson James, age 86, died on October 23, 2018 at Laclede Groves in St. Louis, where she had resided for seven years.

She was born October 26, 1931 in Malden, MO, the daughter of the late Almus and Alma Clary Watson. She was married to Gary D. James for 61 years. He preceded her in death, as did their son, Michael D. James.

Beverly is survived by her son Scott (Nancy) James; grandchildren Lindsey James, Rachael (Nick) James, Andrew James, and Matthew James; brothers Gaylon (Carolyn) Watson and Jerry (Donna) Watson; sister-in-law Linda (John) Green; and other loved ones and dear friends.

A Dexter, Missouri resident for 45 years, Beverly was an avid volunteer who contributed many hours to the Stoddard County Children’s Home and was on boards of that organization for more than 20 years. In 1992 she was named the Dexter Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. 

A memorial service will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, MO, on Friday, November 9, 2018, with visitation at 10am and the service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stoddard County Children’s Home, PO Box 164, Dexter, MO 63841.

In Memory of Michael Ray Traughber
Michael Ray Traughber, son of Verlin and Julie Traughber both of Yellville, Arkansas, was born on February 1, 1966 in Kennet, Missouri and passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2018 at his residence in Bull Shoals, Arkansas at the age of 52.

Mike lived in Missouri, Arizona, and Arkansas. He was a mechanic and automotive enthusiast.

Besides his parents, he is survived by; three children, Josh Traughber, Heather Claussen, and Marcus Traughber; Seven grandchilden; siblings, Verlin Pardon, Tammie Tilmon, and Linda Traughber; and by many aunts, uncles, and nephews.

Memorial services will held on Friday, October 26 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Spirit & Truth Worship Center in Bloomfield, Missouri.

In Memory of Ronnie E. Haney
Ronnie E. Haney, son of the late Joe Haney and Mary Jennings Haney was born on July 26, 1964 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on October 23, 2018 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 54 years.

Mr. Haney was the Manager for B. Dawson Farms for many years.  He attended the Pleasant Grove Church near Dexter and was a resident of rural Dexter.

On December 9, 1988 he was united in marriage to Georgia Corlies in Dexter.  Mrs. Haney survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, Georgia, he was survived by one daughter, Kayse Jo Bond of Dexter; by one brother, Timmy Haney of Dexter; by one sister, Lori Massey (Mike) of Mound City, Kansas; by one granddaughter, McKayla Annesser of Dexter.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, October 25, 2018 after 4:00 PM.  Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Pierce officiating.  Interment will follow at the Sycamore Cemetery near Dexter.

Memorials may be made to Sycamore Cemetery or Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.  Envelopes will be provided.
