In Memory of Melissa Gail Gaines
Melissa "Missy Bug" Gail Gaines Haines was born on October 17, 1968 in Dexter, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Earl Gaines and the late Barbara Sue Stanley Gaines and passed on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 49 years 11 months and 6 days.

Melissa "Missy Bug" Gail Gaines Haines lived in Malden, Bernie and Dexter most of her life. She was a daughter, wife, sister, mother, nana, aunt and friend.

Survivors are her husband of 21+ years, love of her life and best friend: Christopher Michael Haines Sr. of Dexter. Three daughters, Ashley & Morgan Hancock of Hampton, Virginia, Patricia Haines of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Arielle & Thomas Swift III of Dubuque, Iowa; three sons, Christopher, Jr. & Laura Haines of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Michael & Lauren Haines of Fenton, Missouri, John & Meredith Haines of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister, Kimberly Wichern of Nashville, Tennessee. She was nana to: eleven grandchildren, Ethan Hancock, Eric Hancock, Thomas Swift IV, Masen Haines, Lillian McCool, Katelynn Haines, Liam Tenney, Melissa Tenney, Nathaniel Haines, Ava Swift and Elijah Swift. One son Jordan Lee Haines preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Steve Fitzpatrick of Bernie, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

Family request High Heel Shoes to be sent instead of flowers. They will be donated to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission after the service.

In Memory of Elizabeth Quay
Elizabeth Quay of St. James, the daughter of the late Stephen Udel and Helen Madden, was born in Illinois on December 25, 1948, and passed away at the St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis on September 22, 2018, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 28 days.

Mrs. Quay had lived in Dexter and Ellsinore before moving to St. James recently.

On October 11, 2000, she married Matthew Stanley Quay in Randolph County, Arkansas.

Surviving are her husband, Matthew Quay of St. James; two sons & spouse, Chris Tucker & Shana Ramaglia of Bristol, Rhode Island, Stephen Tucker of High Ridge, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brody Tucker of High Ridge and Teagan Tucker of Bristol, Rhode Island; five step-children, Bret Quay of Emporia, Kansas, Debra Quay and Susan Greb both of Round Rock, Texas, Valerie Quay of Austin, Texas and Pandi Napoli of Chicago, Illinois. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may visit on Friday, September 28, 2018 after 10:00 a.m. until time for graveside services at 12:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Burial will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Brady & Teagan College Fund, c/o Stephen Tucker, 5152 Schumacher Lane, High Ridge, MO 63049.

In Memory of Terrence “Terry” Michael Pratt
Terrence “Terry” Michael Pratt, son of the late Lester N. Pratt and Hazel Ross Pratt was born on October 17, 1961 in Lorain, Ohio and departed this life on September 24, 2018 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 56 years.

Terry was disabled and was a resident at the Boucher Group Home in Dexter, Missouri.  He attended the Stoddard County ARC Activity Center for many years.

Survivors include: three sisters, Christine Neuber of Dexter, Donna Marie Rose of Dexter and Sharon Anne Riley of New Bloomfield, Mo.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dean Pratt and Larry Glen Pratt.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In Memory of Dennis Wayne Hente
Dennis Wayne Hente, son of Lester William Hente and Alice L. Bouge Hente was born on August 23, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on September 23, 2018 in Dexter, Missouri with his two sons by his side.  He was 74 years of age.

He graduated from the Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in 1962. 

He served in the United States Air Force.  He had worked in several jurisdictions as a Law Enforcement Officer. 

He enjoyed and loved doing his job and had several accomplishments and was recognized for his acts of service. 

After he retired from Law Enforcement he drove a commercial truck and was an avid photographer who loved to take pictures of all the beautiful destinations that he had seen. 

He enjoyed keeping a scrapbook and photo albums of his life’s journey. 

Survivors include: two sons, Keith Hente of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Sean Hente of St. Louis, Missouri and by one grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Hente and David Hente.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ken McAnulty officiating.
