In Memory of Dennis Wayne Hente

Dennis Wayne Hente, son of Lester William Hente and Alice L. Bouge Hente was born on August 23, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on September 23, 2018 in Dexter, Missouri with his two sons by his side. He was 74 years of age.
He graduated from the Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in 1962.
He served in the United States Air Force. He had worked in several jurisdictions as a Law Enforcement Officer.
He enjoyed and loved doing his job and had several accomplishments and was recognized for his acts of service.
After he retired from Law Enforcement he drove a commercial truck and was an avid photographer who loved to take pictures of all the beautiful destinations that he had seen.
He enjoyed keeping a scrapbook and photo albums of his life’s journey.
Survivors include: two sons, Keith Hente of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Sean Hente of St. Louis, Missouri and by one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Hente and David Hente.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ken McAnulty officiating.

In Memory of Hugh Lay

Hugh Lay of Bloomfield, son of the late Albert Charles and Mable Ramsey Lay, was born in Bell City on May 1, 1920, and passed away at the Bertrand Nursing Center in Bertrand, Missouri on September 18, 2018, at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 17 days.
Hugh had lived in Bloomfield all of his life. He was retired from Monarch Feed Mill and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
On October 30, 1940, he was married to Kathryn M. McRoy in Bloomfield, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2015.
Surviving are three daughters and spouses, Sharon & Robert Jones of Sikeston; Debbie Parks of Dexter, Bonnie & Roger Gibbs of Bloomfield; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and Sophia expected in December. Other relatives and friends also survive. Hugh was preceded in death by one brother A.C Lay and five sisters, Maggie Lay, Dorothy Rampley, Eula Burkhart, Jessie McRoy, and Joyce Spurgeon.
Friends may visit on Saturday, September 22, 2018, after 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Ronnie Stevens of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Chandler Conor Thompson, 6 months of age from Malden, Missouri, was born on February 20, 2018 to Jonathon Thompson and Ashley Smith in Kennett, Missouri.
He departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
His survivors include:
Parents: Jonathon Thompson & Ashley Smith of Malden.
Brother: Colton Smith of Malden.
Grandparents: Ken Thompson & wife, Sandy of Malden, Anita Daniels of Sikeston and Mark McDonald of Bernie.
Great-grandmother: Peggy Thompson of Malden & Pat Taylor of Risco.
Great-grandfather: Larry Daniels of New Madrid.
Aunts: Michelle Thompson, Chasity Thompson & Carissa McDonald.
Uncle: Anthony Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather: Price P. Thompson and great-grandmother: Mary Sue Daniels.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 9-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Interment will be in the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

In Memory of Harold Morrow

Harold Morrow of Dexter, son of the late Manual and Elizabeth Notra Snow Morrow, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 10, 1938, and passed away at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on September 16, 2018, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 6 days.
Harold moved to Dexter forty-five years ago from St. Louis. He had owned and operated a cleaning service and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On March 1, 1958, he was married to Marlene Enders in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene Morrow of Dexter; one daughter and husband, Vera & Willie Bequette of Dexter; one son, Robert Morrow; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; beloved granddaughter, Aubrey Bequette of Dexter; beloved great grandson, Mylon Ballard of Dexter and his father, Joshua Ballard of Dexter; one sister and husband, Carol & George Hill of Buckner, Illinois; a very special friend, Gary Putnam of Dexter. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date.

In Memory of Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones, son of the late Albert Jones and Dorothy Atchison Young was born on January 13, 1948 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on September 16, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 70.
Mr. Jones was a welder in commercial construction and was a resident of Dexter.
He was survived by two sons, Bruce Lee Jones of Birmingham, Alabama and Joshua Jones of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by one daughter, Michelle Fortner of Kinder, Missouri; by one brother, Ronald Young of Dexter, Missouri; by three sisters, Mary (Wayde) Wilkerson of Florida, Barbara Groves of Arkansas and Patsy Rogers of Lowndes, Missouri; by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale Jones, Albert Jones and Jackie Jones; by three sisters, Shirley McAnally, Betty Cox and Debra Metcalf.
Friends may call at the Community Church of Christ in Lowndes, Missouri on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
Services will be conducted at 12:00 noon at the Community Church of Christ in Lowndes on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with Rev. Dale Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at the Community Church of Christ Cemetery in Lowndes.
