Congratulations to the Varsity Football team for their decisive victory over the Doniphan Dons on Friday night.  Congratulations to our Fall Homecoming Court -  Alexa Werneck - 2nd alternate, Hannah Smith - 1st alternate and to Fuyu Fujii who was selected as our 2018 Homecoming Queen

Boys basketball open gyms this week are today and Thursday after school in the BEC until 5:00 pm.

The JV football team travels to Doniphan for a 6:00 pm game.  Their bus leaves at 4:15 pm.  Players will be dismissed at 4:00 pm.

The volleyball team plays at Advance tonight at 6:00 pm and their bus will depart at 4:50 pm.

Girls tennis team hosts. Kennett  today at 4:00 pm.

Seniors - There will be a meeting tomorrow night (Tues 9/25) for DHS Seniors and their parents. 
The following information will be presented:  graduation caps & gowns, important dates for 2019 graduates, and the college admissions process.  There will also be a question / answer session with Senior Counselor, Mrs. Stone.  Meeting will begin at 5:30 pm in the auditorium. 

The Class of 2019 group picture will be taken during advisory on Thursday, Sept 27th. Seniors should meet at the football field directly after 7th period. 

Membership drive for the SkillsUSA/Industrial Arts Club will begin Monday, September 24th and end October 26th. The club dues are $15. Checks can be made out to Dexter IndustrialArts Club. Also, the Club Fundraiser will begin Oct. 17 thru Oct. 31st.

There will be an FCCLA meeting during advisory on Wed. Sept. 26

FBLA Members:  Thank you for meeting the Six Flags deadline.  We will have 48 people on the trip.  Check the FBLA bulletin board for the Six Flags Roster as well as the updated Membership roster.  Every  member who paid dues will have their name on the back of the FBLA t-shirt. 2017 Retiring DHS Homecoming Queen Whitney Nicole White

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School held their annual Miss Homecoming Queen Coronation at Charles Bland Stadium on Friday, September 21, 2018.

Our retiring queen is Miss Whitney Nicole White. 

Whitney is the daughter of Debbie Hamlett. 

When she was in High School, she was involved in busy bearcats laundry team and after school hallway pep leader.

Now her activities include ARC activities during the day and dancing in the evening. 

Future plans are to continue participating in ARC activities, dance, and spending time with family. 

Miss White is escorted tonight by Jett Featherston. 

He is the son of Blaine and Sharon Featherstone.

Jett  is a member of the Varsity football team, Varsity wrestling team, and FCA.

2018 DHS Homecoming Candidate Alexa Werneck

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School held their annual Miss Homecoming Queen Coronation at Charles Bland Stadium on Friday, September 21, 2018.

Miss Alexa Werneck is our final candidate of the evening. 

She is the daughter of Chad and Amber Werneck. 

Alexa was nominated by the Varsity Volleyball Team. 

Alexa is a member of Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Track, FCA, FCCLA, FBLA, pep club, STUCO. 

In the future, Alexa plans to attend a four year university and major in neonatal nursing. 

Escorting Miss Werneck tonight is Haden Hillis. 

Haden is the son of Darren and Tory Hillis. 

He is a member of the Varsity football team, Varsity basketball team, Varsity baseball team, Top 10%, Beta, FBLA, FCA, and First Baptist Church youth group.

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School held their annual Miss Homecoming Queen Coronation at Charles Bland Stadium on Friday, September 21, 2018.

The 9th candidate this evening is Miss Hannah Smith. 

Hannah is the daughter of Delmar Smith and Theresa Burnett. 

She was nominated by the cross country team. 

She is a member of Senior Beta club, Beta Epsilon, Rotary Interact, FBLA, FCA, Model UN, Colorguard, Kicking Cats Dance, Cross country, and marching band. 

In the future, Hannah plans to attend SEMO and earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biology.

Afterwards she will attend the University of Missouri School of Optometry and earn her degree in Optometry. 

Escorting Miss Smith is Gabe McGhee. 

Gabe is the son of Greg and Roxanne McGhee. 

He is a member of Chamber choir, cross country, and basketball.
