John DeRosia, son of the late Maurice John DeRosia and Helen Jo Ervin Slaughter was born on December 25, 1945 in Vermont, Tennessee and departed this life on August 25, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 73.

Mr. DeRosia was a retired Sergeant in the United States Army.

Mr. DeRosia was united in marriage to Marilyn Stinnett on January 23, 2002 in Paragould, Arkansas. Mrs. DeRosia survives of the home in Dexter.

Survivors include: his wife; one son, Jeremiah McCluskey of Orlando, Florida; one daughter, Marie Dawn Snider (Stan) of Dexter; two brothers, Floyd Slaughter of Parris, Tennessee, Pat DeRosia of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery with Tim Zych officiating.
