Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Junior High boys basketball team will open their 2018 season at home hosting the Advance JH Hornets on Thursday, October 4th at 6 p.m.
All regularly scheduled games begin at 6:00 p.m. Tournament times will be announced at a later date.
The junior high Wildcats will participate in two tournament, the SCAA Tournament and the Fish JH Tournament. The SCAA Tournament will be played at Advance.

The Wildcats will start with hosting a Jamboree against Gideon and Leopold on August 17th.
They will also compete in the SEMO Tournament to be held at Cape on September 7th and 8th.
The Junior Varsity team will participate in the Bernie JV Tournament on August 30th and 31st.
The Wildcats will also compete in the Jackson Tri-Match, the Jackson Tournament and the SCAA Tournament.

The 42nd Annual Missouri Lions All-Star Football Game will be played in Warrensburg on Saturday, July 21st. The game features outstanding 2018 graduated high school football players from the entire state! pre-game festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with kick-off scheduled for 7 p.m. at the UCM Walton Stadium, Kennedy Field.
Gabe Jackson, DHS 2018 graduate, was selected for the Lions All-Star Football Game.
He is a 6'5" TE weighing 250 lbs and will attend Murray State University in the fall.
He is the son of Dale and Kim Jackson.
He has been a member of the football team all four years of high school and basketball all four years.
Gabe is also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, Model UN, Choir, and Sr. Beta Club.
His future plans are to major in Psychology.
The annual affair was created in order to benefit the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation (MLERF), and has raised over $200,000 for this statewide Lions project. It now supports Missouri Lions KidSight, an offshoot of MLERF. The game pits some of the top football talent from around the state t o play one last game with and against their peers before entering the world of college or other careers.
The game is divided into Blue and Gold Teams. Heading this year's Blue squad will be Coach David Kirby from Monroe City R1 High School, and the Gold team will be piloted by Coach Tom Cox from Mt. Vernon High School.
The players and coaches will arrive at UCM on Tuesday, July 17th. The week will be spent getting acquainted, learning plays and tow-a-day practice sessions.
A banquet to honor the players will be held Friday evening, July 20th, with Colin Brown as the keynote speaker. He played for Mizzou and was drafted by the K.C. Chiefs before spending four years with the Buffalo Bills.
Tickets for the game will be available at the gate on game day at $10 adults and $5 for students.
