A-State Announces 2018 Spring Chancellor and Dean Lists
Students on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for spring 2018 at Arkansas State University have been announced. Combined, the group numbers 2,185 students. The lists include 33 students from Campus Querétaro, México, who met the academic requirements for the two categories.

The two lists recognize undergraduate students who achieved the highest grade point averages while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours of study.

The Chancellor’s List (designated as CL) includes students who earned a grade point average of 3.80 to 4.0 for spring classes. The Dean’s List (DL) includes students with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.79.

Bella Voss and Korbin Williams, students at Dexter Public Schools, placed 6th at the National Jr. Beta Convention.

Voss received her award in Language Arts and Williams in Science.

Doniphan Student Receives Three Rivers Endowment Trust Scholarship
Incoming Three Rivers College student Malyssa Oldham of Doniphan has received the Dick Brumitt Memorial Scholarship from the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.  Oldham, a 2018 graduate of Doniphan High School, is seeking a General Education degree and hopes to become a wildlife biologist.
 
Dick Brumitt was a longtime supporter of education in the area and served as a member of the Three Rivers College Board of Trustees and the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.
 
The Three Rivers Endowment Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization that receives and manages donations on behalf of Three Rivers College. The Endowment Trust provides a mutually beneficial means for individuals and businesses to partner with the College. For information on donating to scholarships, building projects, or other college needs, contact the Three Rivers Development Office at 573-840-9077.

Doniphan Student Receives Three Rivers Endowment Trust Scholarship
Incoming Three Rivers College student Caden Cannon of Doniphan has received the Dick Brumitt Memorial Scholarship from the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.  Cannon, a 2018 graduate of Doniphan High School, intends to major in pre-law at Three Rivers College and pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal law.

Trey Johnson Builds Amazing Table at Dexter High School

Dexter, Missouri - Mr. Rudd, Dexter High School, Industrial Arts Teacher has some pretty talented students.  Their efforts aren't recognized as much as an athlete; however their talent is extraordinary.

Trey Johnson, a sophomore at DHS, built this table as one of his projects in his shop class.  Students were able to take home their projects at the end of the school season.

Students can choose a project to complete and take home.  They learn how to use woodworking tools along with power saws, and techniques to create these works of art.
