In Memory of Deborah Joann Ferguson
Deborah Joann Ferguson, daughter of Bill McClain of Dexter, Mo and Barbara Russell of Park Hills, Mo was born on March 14, 1969 in Hammond, Indiana and departed this life on May 30, 2018 at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Mo at the age of 49 years.

Deborah was the manager of Babs RV Park in Fenton, Mo and was a resident of Fenton, Mo.

On May 21, 1999 she was united in marriage to James Ferguson in Brownwood, Mo.  Mr. Ferguson survives of the home in Fenton, Mo.

Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by one son, Donnie McClain (Beth) of Dexter, Mo; by one daughter, Sarah Schaefer of Fenton, Mo; by two step-sons, Dustin Ferguson of Bernie, Mo and Eric (Ashli) Ferguson of Malden, Mo; by one step-daughter, Shonda Ferguson of Bernie, Mo; by six brothers, Mark McClain (Brenda) of Bismarck, Mo, Dale Reetz (Amiee) of Poplar Bluff, Mo, Jeffrey McClain of Bernie, Mo, Daniel Slavings (Brenda) of Dexter, Mo, Robert Slavings (Beth) of Bernie, Mo and Bobby Slavings (Teresa) of Dexter, Mo; by four sisters, Barbara Brown (Randy) of Jefferson City, Mo, Michelle Waters (Christopher) of Malden, Mo, Tracy Smith (Joseph) of Chaffee, Mo and Melissa McClain of Bernie, Mo; by eight grandchildren, Landen McClain, Madison McClain, Kinsley Schaefer, Joslynne McGowan, Justyse McGowan, Jayla McGowan, Branton Ferguson and Breyson Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy McClain and one sister, Carol McClain.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. 

Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Leon Watkins
Leon Watkins of Puxico, formerly of Essex, son of the late William Harrison and Treecie Lorene Kirtley Watkins, was born in Morehouse, on January 3, 1944, and passed away at his home in Puxico on May 28, 2018, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 25 days.

Leon had lived in Essex before moving to Puxico three years ago. He had worked as a fabricator at Kelpro in Salcedo, attended Duck Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed, fishing, hunting, cooking and promoting fundraisers for area needs.

On May 31, 1963, he was married to Patricia Corrine Chism in Catron, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Watkins of Puxico, two daughters, Diana Devore of Swinton, Mellody Wheetley of Puxico; adopted son & wife, Buck & Jessica Cruse of Puxico; five grandchildren & spouses, Jennifer & Mark Newell and Jessica Steele all of Dexter, Roger & Taylor Cochran II of Cape Girardeau, Alanna Newman of Poplar Bluff, Hunter Wheetley of Puxico; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Watkins of Essex, Billy Watkins of Gideon, Rocky Watkins of Kansas; three sisters, Shirlene Miller of Kansas City, Ellen Buck of Kentucky, and Pat Johnson of Gideon. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Lanny Watkins and three brothers.

Friends may visit on Friday, June 1, 2018, after 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m. at the Duck Creek Baptist Church near Puxico with Bro. Buck Cruse of Puxico officiating.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Evert Ralph Brown
Evert “Ralph” Brown son of the late Joy Brown and Anna Blanche Fearn Brown was born in Powe, Missouri on June, 21, 1925 and departed this life at Ridgeview Nursing Center in Malden, Missouri on May 27, 2018 at the age of 92.

Mr. Brown was a Veteran of the United States Army, and was a farmer.  He was a member of Malden American Legion and also the NRA, and was a member of Bethany General Baptist Church of Rural Campbell, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Helen Green.  She preceded her husband in Death.

Survivors include one brother, Clifford Ray Brown of Bernie, Missouri; by one niece, Sonja Mays of Bernie, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death other than by his parents and his wife, by two sisters, Dora L. Nelson and Grace Louise Asbell.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in BERNIE, Missouri, Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2o18 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Thakorbhai Patel
Thakorbhai M. Patel, son of the late Maganbhai Patel and Gangaben Patel was born on February 16, 1943 in India and departed this life on May 23, 2018 at Southeast Health Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 75 years.

Mr. Patel was a farmer and lived in Dexter, Missouri.

In 1965, he was united in marriage to Bhanuben Patel in India.  Mrs. Patel survives of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kiritkumar Patel of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Sonal Desai of Greenville, Mississippi and Dharmistha Patel of Charleston, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Honey Patel, Nidli Patel, Tanay Patel, Raj Patel, Krupa Desai and Bhumi Desai.

A prayer will be conducted on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. A prayer will be conducted on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

In Memory of Debra Ann Harlan
Debra Ann Harlan of Grayridge, daughter of the late James Eugene and Naomi Joyce Ross Dougherty, was born on January 6, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at her home in Grayridge, Missouri on May 24, 2018, at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 18 days.

She had worked as a custodian at the Jackson Schools and moved to Grayridge over thirty years. She enjoyed fishing, dogs and spending time with her grandkids.

On August 4, 1989, she married Michael Harlan in Essex, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Harlan of Grayridge; one son, Tommy J. Harlan of Essex; three daughters & husbands, Melody & Justin Davis of Essex, Diane Bardol of Jackson, Deedra & Austin Gardner of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Monika Harlan; ten grandchildren, James, Trevor and Tyler Chaffin, Jacob and wife, Jasmine and Josh Kidd, Kailiegh, Breynley, Conner, Abbey and Lacey Gardner; one great grandchild, Jaxton Kidd; two brothers, Larry Dougherty of Perryville, Larry Carr of Tennessee; three sisters, Toni Parham of St. Louis, Eva Warren and Rhonda Caldwell both of Oklahoma, two sisters-in-law, Lynn Dougherty of Marietta, Oklahoma and Deb Dougherty of St. Louis. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael T. Harlan; and two brothers, Timothy and Terry Dougherty.

A celebration of life will be held at the home in Grayridge on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
