In Memory of F.L. Robinson

F. L. Robinson, son of the late Fred Lee Robinson and Florence Clue Green Robinson, was born on August 28, 1930 in Hornersville, Mo. and departed this life at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 87 years of age.
Mr. Robinson was a lifelong resident of Southeast Missouri and a retired farmer. He loved being outside working on his extensive garden, woodworking, and especially fishing, whether it be in a pond, lake or the ocean.
He graduated from Bernie High School in 1949 and then married Helen Margaret Lizenbee on June 21, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Robinson survives of the home in Dexter, Mo.
Other survivors include: one son, Alan Gene Robinson and wife Jeanie of Dexter, Mo; one daughter, Brenda Kay Robinson of Dexter, Mo; by one granddaughter, Dawn Marie Smathers and husband Daniel of Joplin, Mo; by two great-grandchildren, Jeanna Dawn Smathers and Brant William Smathers of Joplin, Mo.
F. L. was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and two grandsons, Brent Alan Robinson and Dustin Lee McGhee.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 12:00 (noon) to 1:30 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Loren Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
