Charleston, Missouri -  Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to welcome nurse practitioner Amy Watkins, MSN, RN, FNP-C, to Charleston Family Care. She joins Robert Robbins, DO. 

Watkins earned her Master of Science in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She brings more than 15 years of nursing experience with her to Charleston. 

Nurse practitioners are nurses who have undergone advanced training and are able to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, order lab work and imaging tests, and write prescriptions.  They can manage many health conditions, teach health promotion and help patients with disease prevention.
