Officials with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the U.S. 51 Ohio (Cairo) River Bridge between Wickliffe, Kentucky and Cairo, Illinois closed at Friday, March 2 at 6 p.m.

Drivers should be aware because it creates a more than 80-mile detour between Wickliffe and Cairo via Interstate 24 and Interstate 57 through southern Illinois.

Ballard County E-911 posted that US 51 N. going to and from Cairo is closed. 

 

Route CC in Stoddard County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace the culvert pipe under the roadway. 

This section of roadway is located between Route 114 and Route A.                              

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Southbound Interstate 55 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction at the I-55/Route 62 interchange (exit 67) in Miner, Mo., as Missouri Department of Transportation crews repair the overpass. In addition, the southbound off-ramp of the interchange will be closed.

Weather permitting, work will be underway from 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 8. (The lane reduction and ramp closure will remain in place overnight as the concrete cures.)

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
