Kiwanis Annual Easter Egg Hunt Set for March 31, 2018
Dexter, Missouri - The Kiwanis Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 31, 2018  at 1:00 p.m. at West City Park in Dexter, Missouri.

The event is open to all children ages pre-school through 3rd grade.  There will be three divisions for prizes - Pre-School, Kingergarten through 1st grade, and 2nd - 3rd grade.

The park is located across from the Stoddard County Ambulance District building on W. Business US Hwy 60 and is FREE to the public.

The Easter Bunny will be there a little before 1 p.m. so bring a camera, but he can’t stay too long as he has to get busy and hide more Easter Eggs that night for all the little boys and girls to find on Easter morning.

There will be three special eggs and one in each age division.  Find one and you will receive a wonderful Easter Basket full of goodies!

There will be plenty of eggs for everyone!  Come out and have a great time with the kids.

7th Annual Larry & Kathy Jones Family H.O.P.E. Campaign Fundraiser
Bloomfield, Missouri - The 7th Annual Larry and Kathy Jones Family H.O.P.E. Campaign has kicked off their 2018 fundraising Fish Fry event with proceeds directly benefiting area cancer patients.

The HOPE Campaign was initially established by the Jones family from Bloomfield in memory of Larry Jones in 2011 following his death.  In 2016, Larry's wife, Kathy, died of cancer.  The family decided following their mother's death to rename the charity to include the name of Kathy Jones.

On Friday, April 6, 2018 the Trinity United Methodist Church will be the location for their annual Fish Fry.  

Meal included fish, sides, and homemade desserts.  Serving time is from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Cost is $15 per adult and ages 10 & under are just $10 each.  Tickets are available at Allen Christian Buick GMC in Dexter or from the Jones Family.

You may also purchase tickets at the door. To go order are also available.

Music will be provided by Josh Monroe & Friends.

T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Since March of 2011, this charity has raised over $83,000 for area cancer warriors and individuals faced with life-threatening illness.

The H.O.P.E. Campaign is a division of 18 FORE Life, a 501(c)(3) charity, with a shared mission of benefiting area cancer warriors and individuals faced with life-threatening illness.

Dexter Elks January 2018 Students of the Month

Essex, Missouri - Larry White, Dexter Elks Lodge member, presented certificates and $50 checks for Savings Bonds to Richland seniors Luke Rhodes and Bailey Glass.

Luke is the son of Jim and Cynthia Rhodes.

Bailey is the daughter of Josh and Kelly Glass.

Luke and Bailey are competing with honorees from the other county schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the Year.

Both students, along with their parents and counselor, Beverly Hampton, will be honored with a banquet to be held at the Dexter Elks Lodge later this spring.

The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at the spring banquet.

This is a fundraiser to help with Meals on Wheels and other events for the community through the nutrition center!
