In Memory of Virginia DeCelis
Virginia DeCelis, “Ginny” 95 of Booneville, Missouri died February 14, 2018 at the Riverdell Care Center. 

She was born June 21, 1923 in Puxico to Edward and Francis Harty, they both preceded her in death

She worked as a telephone operator for many years.

Survivors include one daughter Linda Casey out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; three brothers Johnny, Alfred and Levi Harty; one sister Linda Hyde and many precious friends. 

Visitation will be conducted Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Morgan Sifford funeral home in Puxico.

Funeral services was conducted on February 19, 2018 also in the funeral home with Reverend Rudy Pittman and Larry Underwood.

Interment followed in the Brown Chapel Cemetery north of Puxico, Missouri.

In Memory of Barbara Sue Moore
Barbara Sue Moore, daughter of the late Vernon Morgan and Alabee Crayne Morgan was born on April 25, 1948 and departed this life on February 18, 2018 at her residence in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 69 years.

Mrs. Moore had retired from Arvin Automotive and was a resident of Bernie, Missouri.  She had attended the First Assembly of God in Bernie.

On August 25, 1967, she was united in marriage to Larry Moore in Bernie, Missouri.  Mr. Moore survives of the home in Bernie.

Besides her husband Larry, she is survived by one son, John Moore of Dexter; four brothers, Paul Morgan, Dale Morgan and Tom Morgan all of Bernie, Missouri and Lester Morgan of Michigan; two sisters, Wendy Fisher of Depot, Illinois and Linda Montgomery of Bernie, Missouri; two grandchildren, Al and Brice Moore.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 21 at 3:00 PM at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Junior Fisher officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Todd Robert Young
Todd Robert Young, son of Robert Lee Young Jr. and Margaret Ann Buchanan Houk was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on January 5, 1967 and passed away in Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the age of 51.

Mr. Young was a Certified Crop Adviser, Salesman and Manager at Green Point Ag in Malden, Missouri.  He was of Christian Faith and a resident of Bernie.

He was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Leathers in Bernie, Missouri on July 28, 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Young of Bernie, Missouri; one son, Dylan Robert Young of Bernie, Missouri; by his father, Bob Young & wife Kim of Bernie, Missouri; by his mother, Margaret Houk & husband John of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother, Chad Young & wife Brandy of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; by two sisters, Tammy Boyle & husband Darrin of Bernie, Missouri and Emilee Young-Camp & husband Brian of Dumas, Mississippi; also by other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie.  Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Tyler Wayne George
Tyler Wayne George, 26, of Dexter, Missouri passed away on February 16, 2018 at his residence in Dexter.  He was born on September 7, 1991, to his parents, Robert George and Lisa Pleasant George in Poplar Bluff, Mo. 

He attended Dexter School until his graduation in 2010.  While he was attending school, he participated in soccer, football, basketball, and he excelled at his favorite sport, baseball.  He played for the Dexter Bearcat’s while in Junior High and High School, proudly wearing #6 and also was a fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football and St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball.

After graduation he attended Three Rivers, earning his Associates of Arts Degree and completed his EMT Certification.  He worked in Construction in the Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas area.

Tyler was an avid outdoorsman.  He was an expert shot with his bow and arrow and enjoyed hunting with his family.  He loved going to his grandparent’s cabin in Van Buren, Mo.  Deer hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies and excelled in them both.

He was a fun-loving young man with a wonderful sense of humor.  He was full of energy and loved spending time with his family.  Always having a hug and saying the words “I Love You” and had the biggest smile and was one of the first to volunteer to help.

Survivors include: his parents, Robert George of Dexter and Lisa Pleasant and Jeremy Luttrell of Gibraltar, Michigan; one daughter, Hazel Makanaokeakua “God’s Gift” Baker from Puxico, Missouri; one brother, Mason George of Dexter, Missouri; one sister, Halley Sielert of Dexter, Missouri; by grandparents Bobby and Sherry George of Wappapello, Missouri and Jeanette Pleasant of St. Francis, Arkansas; by great-grandmother, Helen McCrillis of St. Francis, Arkansas; by aunts and uncles, Donnie and Teresa Conner, Karen George, Jerry and Cindy Pleasant, Edward and Elizabeth Wofford, and Tommy and Jennifer Lewis; by cousins, Cliff George, “his cousin like a brother” and wife Roxanne; by “nephew” Lincoln.

Preceding him in death: grandpa, Dale Pleasant; great-grandparents, Charles McCrillis, William and Mattie Pleasant.

Pallbearers include: Cliff George; special friends, Landon Watson, Brent Stidham, Tommy Lewis, Edward Stevens, Seth Wofford and Zack Hedrick.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.

In Memory of Peggy Caldwell
Peggy Caldwell daughter of the late Pernie “Earline” Moore was born on March 10, 1947 in Stoddard County, Missouri and departed her life on February 16, 2018 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 70 years.

Mrs. Caldwell was a Customer Service Manager at Dexter Wal-Mart for many years and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.

Survives include two daughters, Tammy Caldwell of Bloomfield, Missouri and Sherry Lee Clifton (Daniel) of Dexter, by one brother, Jerry Moore of Bloomfield; by three grandchildren, Tiffany Fuchs, Nathalie Fuchs, and Shyann Clifton; and by two great-grandchildren, Gabby Phillips and Bentley Rankin; also, by other relatives and many close friends.  

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2018. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
