John Allen Sugg of Dexter, son of the late Finis and Margie Alice Cosey Sugg, was born on December 20, 1946, in Cave City, Arkansas and passed away at the Piggott Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas, on February 4, 2018, at the age of 71 years, 1 months and 14 days.

He had lived most of his life in Southeast Missouri. John worked for Tyson Foods in Dexter. John served in the United States Army, he also attended Grace Fellowship Church in Dexter.

On October 30, 1976, he married Mary Elizabeth Brooks in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Sugg of Dexter; one brother, Richard Sugg of Dexter, Missouri; three sisters, Katricia Russell of Potosi, Missouri, Suzann Marmillion of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Sherry Hancock of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 9, 2018 after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel until time for services at 2:00 p.m. with Sister Bonnie Cannell of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Kay Dillinger “Adams” passed gracefully with her family by her side on February 6th at 6:26am at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on January 5, 1952 in Poplar Bluff, MO. 

Sandra is the devoted mother of Kristina Schumer, Nathan Dillinger, Nicholas Dillinger, John Brock Hartline, John Skylar Hartline, and the late Robert Spencer Dillinger. Her siblings are Peggy Sue Wyatt, Russell Adams Junior, Gary Lee Adams, Larry Wayne Adams, and Linda Faye Burch. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Bryant Russell Adams and Ruby Edith Adams.

Surrounded by her children, siblings, and grandchildren, Sandra somehow conjured up the words “I love you” to us. She is loved and will be missed by all she met. She went to meet her heavenly Father with a smile on her face and didn’t have to carry her oxygen tank along for the first time in years. She has loved us her entire life and we will continue to honor her memory every day.

John L. Pettig of Dexter, son of the late Lawrence Edward and Zelma Mae Lockhart Pettig, was born in Lincoln County, Missouri on August 23, 1934, and passed away at the Dexter Nursing Center in Dexter on January 28, 2018, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 5 days.

He had lived in Dexter the past twenty years. He had worked as a security guard and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Surviving are one brother, Jerry Pettig of Troy, Missouri; one sister, Beverly Ruff of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and one grandchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Wyatt Pettig and a daughter, Allie Darlene Pettig

Friends may call on Friday, February 2, 2018, after 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time for the services at 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full Military Honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Franklin Runzi, 77 of Puxico, formally of Longmont, Colorado died February 1, 2018 at his home. 

Mr. Runzi was born November 14, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to Theodore and Ruth (née Ficken) Runzi. They proceed him in death.

He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Colorado antique association and the Colorado archaeology society.

Survivors include five sons, Krag Of Puxico, Kirk of Bellflower, MO, Clay of Stafford Virginia, Matt of Melbourne, Australia and Mike Runzi of Saint Charles Missouri; one daughter Aimee Verhaeg of St. Charles, Missouri; one brother William Runzi of Oakville, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Also proceeding in death were two grandchildren Owen and Jacob Runzi.

Friends may call upon the family Monday February 5, 2018 at 1 o’clock P.M. in the Morgan Sifford funeral home Chapel with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM also in the chapel with Rev. Krag Runzi serving as officiant.

Internment will immediately follow in the New Hope cemetery in McGee Missouri.

Barbara Ann Williams, daughter of the late Delbert G. Essen and Christina Edith Elizabeth Stone Essen was born in St. Louis Missouri on April 4, 1941 and departed this life at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 3, 2018 at the age of 76.

Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a resident of Bernie.

She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Ray Williams in Ellisville, Missouri on September 12, 1959.  Mr. Williams preceded his wife in death on October 30, 2012.

Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Williams of Bernie, Missouri, Jeffery Williams of Dexter, Missouri and Rodney Williams of Bernie, Missouri; by three brothers, Louis William Essen of Gretna, Nebraska, Delbert Griffin Essen Jr. of Benton, Illinois and John Charles Essen of Jefferson City, Missouri; by ten Grandchildren and thirteen Great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by one son, Anthony Lee Williams; by one brother, Bernard Allen Essen; and by one grandson, Colin Matthew Williams.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Tuesday Evening, February 6, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.   

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Stan Dauck officiating.   

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
