Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bernie Mules and the Gideon Bulldogs squared off in Game #3 of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th. Coached by Brad Botsch and assisted by Jason Long.
The Bernie Mules wasted no time getting points on the board. Four Mules finished in double digits. At the end of the first quarter Bernie lead Gideon 22 - 12. By the end of the first half it was a 34 -16 point game.
Michael Suiter, 6'4" center, tallied a game-high 18 points for the Mules.
Senior #23 Nate Dillinger and junior #31 Hunter Slavings each recorded 14 points and Josh Ellenburg finished with 13 points. He also had two 3-pointers.
Sophomore guard Sam Williams had a team-high 14 points for the Bulldogs.
Bernie held Gideon to single digits in three of the four quarters.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Hayti Indians and the Holcomb Hornets competed in Game #2 of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.
The Hayti Indians jumped out to a 22 - 12 lead in the first quarter and finished the half with a 44 - 18 lead.
Darius Jones tallied a game-high 25 points on five from the charity stripe, 7 buckets and two 3-pointers for Hayti.
Kobe Cooper recorded 16 points. Nakwon Harris and Ivory Winters each finished with 11 points.
Hornet's player Gabe Roso had 15 points on four buckets, two treys and one from the charity stripe.

Hayti will play at 7:00 p.m. in Game #15 on Wednesday against the winner of the Bloomfield/Portageville game to be played at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Holcomb will play at 11:30 a.m. in Game 10 on Wednesday against the losing team of the Portageville/Bloomfield game.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats met up with their neighbor the Richland Rebels in the opening game of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.
After a long rest the Bearcats came out strong and quickly delivered for Coach Josh Dowdy. By the end of the first quarter Dexter led by 17 points, 23-6.
"Our goal was to come out and create some enthusiasm by talking and communicating on defense," commented head coach Josh Dowdy. "I felt like we showed some improvement in that area."
Senior Gabe Jackson recorded a game-high 20 points. Half of his points were in the third quarter.
"We had a few possessions where we reversed the ball and when that happens, Gabe does a good job of sealing his man and he was able to get loose to score some easy buckets," Dowdy said of Jackson's efforts on the court.
Senior Ben Sindle tallied all three of his treys in the first quarter and senior Alan Pippins scored all four of his treys in the second quarter for Dexter.
"Alan shot the ball well today. We know he is capable of getting hot behind the arch," continued Dowdy. "He shot the ball with confidence."
Ten of 14 Bearcats scored during the game. Of those ten, four were in double digits. Joe Rice, a 5'11" junior guard, recorded 11 points all in the first and 3rd quarters. Dawson Kasting, a 6'1" senior forward, tallied 10 points.
At the half Dexter was ahead by 39 points, 52-13.
"This is a real unselfish group. They root for one another when they are on the bench," stated Dowdy. "Clay sat out today and he was actively involved in motivating his teammates. That is always good to see."

East Prairie will play at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th in Game #12 against the losing team of the South Pem/Kennett game.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Lady Wildcats have earned their first win of their 2-year program and are ready for ring in the New Year! In January 2018 they will have three home games. Beginning with East Prairie on January 4th, followed by Caruthersville on January 8th and Clearwater on January 11th.
