Rebekah Sisler Barbour Wilson, daughter of the late George Russell Sisler and Grace F. Robinson Sisler was born August 1, 1939 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on November 30, 2017 in the Mulberry Manor at Dexter, Missouri at the age of 78.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter and was affiliated with the Humane Society in Caruthersville.
She was first united in marriage to W. J. “Jerry “ Barbour and to this union, four sons were born. Mr. Barbour preceded her in death on January 22, 1992. She was then united in marriage to Terry Wilson on February 16, 1994 at Dexter. Mr. Wilson survives of the home in Caruthersville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Michael Barbour and wife Melinda of Sikeston, Mo, Jay Barbour and wife Joeli of Dexter, Mo, Christopher Barbour of Dexter, Mo and Patrick Barbour and wife Katy of Dexter, Mo; by six grandchildren, Jason Barbour and wife Lesley, Lauren Bishop and husband Reston, Ethan Barbour, Grace Barbour, Kenton Barbour and Christina Merritt; by four great-grandchildren, Taylor Gross, Bailey Barbour, Dalton Merritt and Tyler Merritt; by one nephew, David Sisler.
Besides her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Kenton Sisler and by one nephew, Jim Sisler.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, from Noon until 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 3, 2017. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis
Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Barbour and Rev. Ricky Lyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 18 Fore Life, C/O Scott Kruse, 705 Laurie Circle, Dexter, Mo or Caruthersville Humane Society, 204 S. 4th Street, Hayti, Mo 63851.
