Sacred Heart Toy Drive

Sacred Heart Toy Drive

Dexter, Missouri - Sacred Heart Toy Drive is in need of volunteers and gently used toys. Please be inspired to help children in the community this holiday season by volunteering.

Gently used toys will be collected from November 28th - December 20, 2017.

The Toy Drive will take place on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Gym.

Any parent/guardian can come pick out a few toys.  Volunteers will be needed to organize the toys and be on hand to help families on the day of the drive.

If you have any questions, would like to volunteer, or need help collecting toys.

Drop off locations are Carrillo's Martial Arts from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Please call for time at (573) 624-7333.

Carrillo's Martial Arts is located at 16 S. Walnut Street in downtown Dexter.  Sacred Heart Catholic Church is located at 102 E. Castor St. Dexter.

The Assembly Church in Bloomfield to Host a Fish Fry

Bloomfield, Missouri - Please join The Assembly Church in Bloomfield, John 3:16 Ministries for Men, and John 3:17 Ministries for Women on Sunday, November 19th at 5:00 p.m.

The men will be providing a Fish Fry, and leading Praise & Worship.

As most of our family and friends know, Joe entered John 3:16 in late July.

John 3:16 Ministries is a spiritual boot camp for men with addiction.

"It is a place of refuge where men can heal mentally, physically, and spiritually. Joe, Rachel, and I appreciate the love and support that John 3:16, our family, and friends have given to us during our journey." Dexter, Missouri - Grace Fellowship Church Ministries is offering Brittle and Fudge for sale.  They are raising money for those in need this Christmas and for their building fund.

Bell Ringers Needed for the Holiday Season in Dexter
Dexter, Missouri - Lighthouse Church is once again recruiting “Bell Ringers” for the Christmas Holiday Season. They need bell ringers for shifts beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Monday thru Saturday beginning November 24th and ending December 23rd.

There will be two kettles at the Walmart Store, in Dexter, one at each entrance. The shifts may be 1 or 2 hour increments.

Any Church, Business, School Organization, Family or other group may fill one whole day or the same day every week or any open shift.

Each business or organization is welcomed to bring an 8 ½ X 11” sign and or wear their logo advertisement clothing. They will provide a sign for you that will be laminated and taped to the kettle stand. Two bells will be provided and if you need more please bring them. No more than 5 people are allowed at each kettle. You are welcome to sing carols. They ask that you wear your best smile and wish those giving or not giving a “Merry Christmas” or Happy Holidays.

100% of all money collected will be allocated through Salvation Army vouchers to help the residents of Stoddard County in need of help with rent, medical expense, food, clothing, utility or other expenses.

Last year’s drive provided over $16,000 to the residents of Stoddard County.

Grace Fellowship Church Ministries to Host Thanksgiving Celebration

Dexter, Missouri - Grace Fellowship Church Ministries will host their annual Thanksgiving Celebration Sunday, November 12th.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

They will begin their service at 10:30 a.m. with dinner being served around noon.

After dinner they will have a time of praise and worship with "The McAtees." Check out their website by clicking HERE.

The church is located at 201 Business Highway 60 in Dexter.
