9th Annual This Run's for Vaughn Event Slated for Saturday
Dexter, Missouri - The 9th Annual "This Run's 4 Vaughn" is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th in conjunction with the Historic Downtown Dexter Association's Fall Fest.

The annual event continues to be held in memory of Rev. Vaughn Wright who lost his life to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Rev. Wright was the pastor of the First Christian Church of Dexter for more than 18 years before his health failed and he was forced to retire.

All proceeds from the walk/run will go directly to families in the area who have a loved one suffering from ALS.

The entry fee for the 5K Walk/Run is $20.00 and you will receive a t-shirt and lunch.  The meeting site is the parking lot in front of the First Christian Church Disciple Center.

The church is located at 224 E. Stoddard Street just east of the Dexter United State Post Office.

The walk/run is not a race, but a journey through the streets of Dexter.  The path is marked and is annually led by the Dexter Police Dept.

Registration is at 9:00 a.m. with a starting time of 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church at 224 East Stoddard Street. Lunch will be served on the ground upon the return of the runners and walkers.

Pre-registration will guarantee a proper t-shirt size.
