Bloomfield School Board Meeting Minutes - Monday, October 9, 2017
Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield School Board met on Monday, October 9, 2017 for its regular October Board meeting.  

Students, Eli Dixon and Logan Parks made a presentation to the board about what it takes to show animals at the area fairs.  Both of these young men did an excellent job!

The board approved the following in regular session:
1.  the District audit report
2.  work session date of October 30th at 7pm
3.  the bus driver handbook
4.  alternative classroom procedures
5.  to solicit food service bids

John Newell discussed with the board the information he gained at the Missouri School Boards Association fall meeting.

During the Superintendent's report, Toni Hill went over the September membership for the district and MAP/EOC/ACT data. Shown in the photo below are the results.

During executive session, the board approved:

1.  Substitutes Maggie Lowery and Taylure Harris, pending background check and all paperwork
2.  Hire Kaylin Goins as the alternative classroom aide

Bloomfield Wildcats 1992 Volleyball Team to be Honored

Bloomfield, Missouri - The 1992 Bloomfield Wildcats Championship Volleyball Team will celebrate their 25th anniversary.

The Bloomfield School District will honor them for their championship run 25 years ago.

Please come out and help celebrate this team on Friday, September 15th at the home volleyball match against the Notre Dame.  Game time is 6:00p.m.

Playing on the 1992 team were Amanda Young, Tonya Eskew, Lorrie Parker, Jennifer Hartlein, Karen Tippen, Stephanie Atkins, Amanda Zimmerman, Jaime Farmer, Kris Vandeven, Lea Anne Sifford, and Laura Kingree.

Statisticians were Wendy Reeves, Erin Jackson, Heather Chasteen, Crystal Christian, and Lori Smith.

Coaches were Barbara Dalton (Head Coach) and Kerwin Urhahn (Assistant Coach)

Please come out and support the 1992 Lady Wildcats State Champions on their 25th anniversary!!

Bloomfield School Board Meeting Minutes - September 11, 2017
Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield School Board met for their September meeting on Monday, Sept 11, 2017.

In open session, the board approved the district bus routes and the district's professional development plan handbook.  

These items had no significant changes from last year.  

The board also briefly discussed options for a no tax increase bond issue.

In executive session, the board approved 2 substitute teachers, Patricia Banks and Sara Vise, pending proper paperwork and background check.  

The board also approved Chassi Zook as substitute bus driver.

2017 Miss BHS Crowned

Bloomfield, Missouri - Senior Angel Bain was crowned Miss BHS on Thursday, August 31, 2017.  

She was escorted by Senior David Waggoner.  

Miss BHS Court included senior candidate Grace Shipman, with her escort senior Peyton Bell; retiring Queen Jewel Chism, and her escort senior Matt Gibbs, junior candidate Bailey Below, escorted by junior Carson Blair; and junior candidate Lilly Warrick, escorted by junior Brandon Siler.

Stoddard County Honor Guard Teaches Flag Etiquette

Bloomfield, Missouri - A big thank you goes out to our fourth grade boys, the Stoddard County Honor Guard,  and Mrs. Skaggs.

Two members of the Honor Guard, Brad Williams (Army Veteran) and Mike Williams (Air Force Veteran) trained volunteers from fourth grade on flag etiquette and protocol.  

These boys are responsible for raising and retiring the United States flag and Missouri flag every day.
