Liberty Days to be Held at Stars & Stripes Museum
Bloomfield, Missouri - The Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield, Missouri will host their 5th annual Liberty Days event on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a free, family-friendly, and educational event featuring a living military timeline.

This year's timeline will represent the conflicts during which the Stars & Stripes was printed from the Civil War to the modern era.

They are also including in the timeline displays related to pre-colonial, colonial and the American Revolution.

History professors from Southeast Missouri University, re-enactors, educators, veterans, and others will be presenting.

There will also be an 18th century kitchen, a Civil War skirmish, a WWI medical station, and a WWII encampment with military vehicles.

They will also host veterans from the Korean, Vietnam, Cold War, Gulf War, Kosovo, and other time periods.

You will be able to meet veterans who experienced the conflicts first hand, taste foods from an 18th century kitchen, interact with re-enactors, receive a guided tour of the museum and more. The Stars and Stripes Museum is more than a display of military and newspaper artifacts. It is unique among the nation's museums. There is no other museum in the United States dedicated to the history of America’s military newspaper. With over 7,000 square feet of attractive exhibits, visitors see American history from a different perspective.

Vendors will be at the event. There will be burgers, corndogs, fried potatoes, drinks, and a variety of treats for all tastes.
