In Memory of Kenneth Dale Dixon
Kenneth Dale Dixon, son of the late Clyde Curtis Dixon and Ella Mae (McKee) Dixon was born on October 19, 1939 in Dexter, Missouri and entered eternal life with our God and Jesus Christ on September 28, 2017.  He passed at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 77.

Mr. Dixon devoted his life to serving God, loving his family, helping others, and giving a smile and happiness to everyone he knew.  He was a devoted member of the Cape County Cowboy Church in Oak Ridge, Missouri, and gave of himself to build the church, both physically and spiritually.  Mr. Dixon was a master craftsman, woodworker, and homebuilder, who willingly shared his art, skills, and time as gifts to anyone in need.  He was retired from AT&T, where he worked in communications installation and repair, and he served our country as a veteran of the United States Army.

He was united in marriage, love, and faith to Betty Evans, formerly of Bloomfield, Missouri, in West Plains, Missouri, on December 26, 1959.  Mrs. Dixon survives him of their residence.  He is survived by two loving children, who regarded their father as their hero, protector, and a constant source of strength:  Kendra and her husband Tim Ward of Dexter, and Kevin and his wife Laurie (Dockins) Dixon of Chesterfield, Missouri.  His family celebrates his beautiful life, giving heart, gentle nature, and a lifetime of wonderful memories.
He had five grandchildren, who adored him and were embraced by his love:  Brittany (Ward) Mathis, Justin Ward, Evan Ward, Sydney Dixon, and Olivia Dixon.  In addition to his grandchildren, he enjoyed giving joy and hugs to his three great-grandchildren:  Harper Mathis, Blake Mathis and Gabriel Ward.

Mr. Dixon is survived by two wonderful brothers, Robert (Kay) Dixon of Springfield, Missouri and Clyde (Melinda) Dixon of Dexter.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Dixon.  He was a loving son-in-law to the late Louis and Geneva (Davis) Evans of Bloomfield, Missouri, and caring brother-in-law to Robert Evans of Pasadena, California, and Barbara Evans of Bloomfield.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis  Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
