Robert Joseph Spencer, Sr., 52, of Marble Hill, Mo., died from injuries sustained in a car accident near Glen Allen, Mo., on July 21, 2017. Born in St. Louis County, Mo., on Sept. 1, 1964, he was the son of Bobby Joe and Peggy Ellen McCormick Spencer.

He was a disabled Army veteran of the Gulf War. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Marble Hill, the Southeast Missouri Horseshoe Pitching Association, Missouri State Horseshoe Pitching Association and St. John Catholic Church. He was an avid pool player, enjoying the sport more than any other.

He is survived by two children: Robert Joseph Spencer, Jr. of Glen Allen, Mo., and Jessica Spencer of Hillsboro, Mo.; three brothers: David Getty of Hillsboro, Johnny Carver of High Ridge, Mo., and Ronald Carver of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Donna Kemp of Springfield, Mo.; his girlfriend, Terrie Kay Rose of Marble Hill; and four grandchildren: Brayden, Daylan, Gabriella and Alexis Spencer.

Visitation will be on Wed., July 26, 2017, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

A mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Church in Leopold. Rev. David Coon will officiate.

Burial with military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Annapolis Cemetery in Annapolis, Mo.
