Odessa Jones, age 96, passed away on May 24, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born April 3, 1921, in Hartman, AR., to the late James and Rosetta Hale Miller.
On December 7, 1940 in Benton, MO., she married Ernie Jones, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2005.
Survivors include: three sons and three daughters-in-law, Albert and Jo Jones of West Plains, MO., David and Theresa Jones of Morley, MO., and Brian and Teresa Jones of Surgionsville, TN.; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy and Don Davis of Dexter,MO., and Linda and James Rhein of Mountain Home, AR.; 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: four brothers, three sister and one son, Larry Jones.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, in Sikeston, MO.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., with Bro. David Thompson pastor of Morley First Baptist Church in Morley, MO., officiating.
Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Pallbearers: Travis Jones, Robert Rhein, Mark Rhein, Melvin Davis, Skyler Rhein and Wyatt Kiger.

Misty Diane Hare, 39 of Dexter died May 19, 2017 in the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Misty was born October 3, 1977.
Leaving to cherish precious memories is her mother, Sandra Hendrix and step-father Stanley Hendrix of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Alexis Grither of New Hamburg, Missouri; one brother, Gabriel Hendrix of Dexter; three sisters, Michelle Smith (Doyle), Brenda Solis and Nikki Lathem (Chris); and many other friends and relatives.
Preceding her in death is her father Danny Hare; step-father, Leon Sugg; her maternal grandparents Newell; one uncle Terry Newell; and one aunt Norma Hargrove.
Visitation was held on May 22, 2017 at the Morgan Sifford Funeral Home chapel in Puxico Missouri with the funeral followed at 2 P.M. also in the chapel.
Internment immediately followed in the Dexter Missouri City Cemetery.
Norman Jacob Ridenour passed away surrounded by family at 2:28 a.m. on May 22 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. There is barely a corner of Southeast Missouri left untouched by Ridenour.
He was born on November 3, 1931, on the family home place just outside of Puxico to Louis D and Edna E. Ridenour. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-1958. He was stationed primarily in Barstow, California, in the heart of Death Valley. During that time, he sent his paychecks to his family in Puxico.
He met Theressa Snider at Frosty’s Drive-in at Poplar Bluff. She said she fell in love with his blue eyes and they married on November 21, 1959. Norman and Theressa moved to St. Louis and opened a grocery store in Webster Groves.
The call to home became too great and Norman and Theressa took their young children Clark Jay and Kandi to open the J & K Market in Broseley. The couple brought home a surprise bundle of joy named Penny to the store and soon after Norman contracted a rare lung infection and spent nearly a year in a special ward in the Memphis Veteran’s Administration hospital.
Norman, a man of incredible work ethic, worked odd jobs and picked peaches to support his family, then went to nursing school to become one of the first male nurses in Southeast Missouri. He worked at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center for 25 years before he retired in 1996. The Ridenours moved to Kinder, before building the house at 402 S. Turnbaugh in Puxico in 1976 where Ridenour spent the rest of his life.
Ridenour was known for his quick and mischievous wit. He was the primary caregiver for his wife, Theressa, for nearly four years before her death in 2013. Of late, he was known for riding his little red scooter about town, and frequented Holloway’s Gas Mart and Bill’s Market in search of a cup of coffee.
Ridenour was the youngest and last surviving sibling of his sister Goldy and brothers Vernon, Louis, Eugene, Bob, and Quinton Ridenour. He is survived by his son Clark Jay Ridenour and wife Beverly, his daughter Kandi Ridenour Speer and her husband Dan and Penny Ridenour , as well as his grandchildren Anthony and Andrew Ridenour and Kelsey, Natalie, and Lyndsey Speer and his great-grandchildren Andon and Nevaeh Ridenour.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 24 at 6 p.m. the Morgan Sifford Funeral Home, 580 Highway 51 in Puxico;
His services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
He will be interred with military honors at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield at 3 p.m.
Ralph Hall, son of the late Cecil Paul Hall and Avis Ione Ragsdale Hall was born on January 7, 1934 in Hornersville, Missouri and departed this life on May 20, 2017 in the Crowley Ridge Care Center of Dexter at the age of 83.
Mr. Hall was a former distributor for Prairie Farm Ice Cream and was a resident of Dexter.
He was united to Helen Gibson at Essex, Missouri. Mrs. Hall survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Mike Hall of Dexter and one grandson, Michael Ralph Hall.
Private funeral services were conducted under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Kenny Collins, 64 of Malden, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his residence in Malden, Missouri.
Mr. Collins, son of Kenneth Roy and Louise Campbell Collins, was born on Saturday, May 31, 1952 in Sikeston, Missouri.
He retired from Federal Mogul as a machine operator.
On December 13, 1969, in Malden, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Beverly (Becky) Crowe. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Collins and wife, Aleisha of Dexter, Travis Collins and wife, Jeannie of Malden; four grandchildren, Lauren Collins and Hunter Golden of Ann Arber, Michigan, Amber Reddick and husband, Josh of Malden, Travis Collins, Jr. of Malden and Olivia Collins of Dexter; his mother, Louise Collins of Malden; five sisters, Kay Collins of Malden, Gin Stacey of Paragould, Sandy Boss of Springfield, Mildred Perdue of Paragould, Terry Collins of Springfield; two brothers, Dennis Collins and Randy Collins both of Malden; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Roy Collins, Sr. and one sister, Becky Collins.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Landess Funeral chapel with Pastor Dale Hartle officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.
