Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield High School held their annual Athletic Honors Ceremony on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Bloomfield High School gym along with the middle school athletes.

Coaches for the Bloomfield High School girls JV Volleyball team are Sherilyn Johnson and Che Jones.

Playing on the JV Volleyball team are Haley Persfull, Tyrah Hartle, Creylee Huddleston, Natalie Powell, Eva Hester, Michaela Tidwell, Jenna Yates, Shelby Sandage, and Emily McGowen.

Awards presented were the Wildcat Award, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and the Most Valuable Player of the Year.

The Defensive Player of the Year Award went to Tyrah Hartle.  "She not only would hit the floor, but would communicate to her team no matter where she was," commented Johnson.  "When she was on, there wouldn't be a ball that would hit the floor.  She did a fantastic job helping out on varsity when we needed a little defensive boost, especially during the Notre Dame game."

The Offensive Player of the Year Award went to Eva Hester.  "We can rely on her in the front now.  She would even hit the occasional line for us."

The JV Wildcat Award went to Natalie Powell.  "This award is a combination of attitude, effort, and improvement and I never heard this girl complain.  Both coach and I felt like she put forth 100% effort in practice."

The Most Valuable JV Player Award went to Creylee Huddleston.  "She was the glue for the JV for sure," continued Johnson.  "No matter the situation, they could rely on her to play smart and consistent.  Shew ill be right next to Tyrah on the floor.  She plays hard and plays to win."
