Malinda Allen, daughter of the late Alvin Smyth Sr. and Sarah Manion Smyth was born on September 25, 1927 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on March 19, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Mrs. Allen was a former employee of Dexter National Bank, IXL in Bernie, Missouri, and a long-time trader on the Chicago Board of Trade.
On March 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Lee Allen Sr. in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Allen preceded her in death on May 8, 1996.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery Allen (Debbie) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by three brothers, Alvin Smyth Jr. of Dexter, Jimmie Smyth (Ann) of Dexter, Michael Smyth (Beverly) of Boise, Idaho; nephew, Brady Smyth of Dexter; by a daughter-in-law, Janet Allen; four grandchildren, Kathy Allen of California, John Allen (LeAnn) of Scott City, Missouri, Kimberly Allen of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Judy McBride of New York; by four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; also by other nieces and nephew.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Lee Allen, Jr.; by one brother, John Alan Smyth and by one sister, Mary Ellen Sisler.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Charles B. Adams, Jr, son of the late Charles B. Adams and Sadie Rae Whitehead Adams was born on April 22, 1932 in Powe, Missouri and departed this life on March 21, 2017 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 84.
Mr. Adams attended the Risen Church in Dexter. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner of Adams and McCord Painting Contractors and C. B. Adams Paint and Wallpaper in Dexter. He was a 50-year member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #532, a 32nd Degree Mason, the Dexter VFW, a Charter member of the Dexter Lions Club and the Rhodes Coffee Club.
He was united in marriage to Emma Lou Bland on March 22, 1952 in Piggott Arkansas. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2011.
He is survived by one son, Barry (Diane) Adams of Dexter; by one daughter Charlotte (Mike) Mills of Bernie; one brother, Prentis Steve Adams of Dexter; by three sisters, Vivian Ellsworth of Powe, Doris Brict of Michigan, and Mavis Hall of Pevely; three grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Mills, Patrick Adams, and Matt (Marissa) Mills; by five great-grandchildren, Montgomery, Monroe, Margot, Lannie Grey and Barrett.
Besides his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John Delmar “Pete” Adams and Thomas Adams; by one sister Louise Goins.
Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the
Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.

Winona Griffin of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Charles L. Cowell and Maude Moss Cowell Holman, was born in Lamar, Arkansas on September 22, 1926, and passed away at the Bloomfield Nursing Center in Bloomfield on March 18, 2017, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 24 days.
She had lived in Bloomfield most of her life. She had retired from Arvin Automotive where she had worked as a welder. She had attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, was a member of the Red Hat Society, Helping Hands and enjoyed gardening, flowers and doing jigsaw puzzles.
On June 21, 1946 she was married to Bond Griffin in Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2013.
Surviving are one son, Wade Griffin & wife Karen of Bloomfield; two daughters, Bonnie DeBlois & husband Bill of Bloomfield, Carolyn Jackson & husband Robert of Frohna, Missouri; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
Visitations will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chiles - Cooper Funeral Home, in Bloomfield.

Dona Clipperton of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Glen and Grace Overhalter Coleman, was born in Wymore, Nebraska on June 29, 1928, and passed away at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri on March 18, 2017, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 17 days.
She had lived in Mesa, Arizona before moving to Bloomfield in 2009. She had been a home maker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mesa, Arizona.
She was married to Eldred Norval Clipperton in Fisk, Idaho. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2011.
Surviving are one daughter, Dee Anne Hayes of Bloomfield; two sons, Curtis Clipperton of San Antonia, Texas, Leslie Fisk of Pine Grove, California; numerous grand and great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with interment to follow.

Mary Inez Wells Siegrist was born on July 25, 1920 in Chanute, Kansas to the late David Samuel Wells & Noramanda T. Blanscet.
She departed this life on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her residence in Malden, Missouri at the age of 96 years 7 months and 14 days.
Mary Inez Wells Siegrist was an elementary school teacher.
She was united in marriage to Harold V. Siegrist on July 4, 1966 in Lawrence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Monday, March 10, 2014.
Her survivors include a son Robert Allen Siegrist and his wife, Theresa Ann of North Royalton, Ohio; a daughter Kristina Ruth Bowlby and her husband, John of Malden; grandsons Michael Thomas Siegrist of North Royalton, Ohio and Carl Vernon Bowlby of Chicago, Illinois; granddaughter Mary Evelyn Benney and her husband, Garrett of Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3brothers: John Wells, David Wells & John Blanscet and 1 sister: Ruth Stevens.
