
Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Dexter Sports Spotlight shines on Taryn Fortner.
Taryn is on the Kickin Cats Dance Team and is a senior at the Dexter High School.
She is the daughter of Jodi and David Fortner.
She has been active in FCCLA for three years, Foreign Language Club two years, and Sr. Beta one year.
Taryn enjoys shopping, playing the guitar and ukulele, and working out.
She is a member of the National Honors Society and has lettered in varsity cross country.
Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and study media and communications.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield School District has set their 2017 Preschool and Kindergarten Screening dates.
Preschool Screening date will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 704 West Missouri Street.
Students must be three (3) on or before July 31, 2017 in order to be screened.
Kindergarten Screening will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 also at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Students must be five (5) on or before July 31, 2017 in order to enroll.

Each student received a certificate and a free gift certificate for a taco from Taco Bell.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.
Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.

Essex, Missouri - The Dexter Elks January Students of the Month are Katelyn Pinkley and Lane Brown of Richland High School. Both are seniors and will graduate in May 2017
Larry White, Dexter Elks Lodge member, presented certificates and $50 checks for Savings Bonds to both seniors.
Katelyn Pinkley is the daughter of Jason and Maygin Pinkley.
Lane Brown is the son of Patrick and Karen Brown.
Katelyn and Lane are competing with honorees from the other county schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the Year.
Both students, along with their parents and counselor, Beverly Hampton, will be honored with a banquet to be held at the Dexter Elks Lodge later this spring.
The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at the spring banquet.
