
Dexter, Missouri - The long awaited Dollar Tree, Dexter's newest retail business will open on Thursday, January 26, 2017 with a ribbon cutting at 9:00 a.m.
Dollar Tree is located on Business Highway 60 near the Dexter Cinema.
According to the local manager there will many future events, an open house, raffles, and customer appreciation days.
Dollar Tree stores offer items for $1 or less and is North America's largest single price point retailer. They strive to keep their shelves full every day with extreme values on cleaning supplies, health & beauty products, office supplies, school supplies, snacks, toys, greeting cards, home decor and much more!

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Lions Club recently presented a donation in the amount of $500 to the Dexter Police Department.
The money was raised from the Back the Blue Bulb sales at the Stoddard County Fair.
Local business owners Steve Brown, Mark and Kristi Booker, Greg and Lisa Mathis donated the money for the bulbs so all monies raised could go directly to emergency agencies. Money was also donated to the Dexter Fire Department and Stoddard County Sheriff.

Dexter, Missouri - Garrett Kyle is a 2016 graduate of Dexter High School and is currently studying at Evangel University. He was selected to participate on a medical mission trip to Greece and Macedonia in May of 2017 with HealthCare Ministries.
"I am really excited about this as I will get to help those who are ill and have a chance to spread God's love to others," commented Kyle. "I am really close to reaching my fundraising goals and would appreciate any help!"
HealthCare Ministries is the medical outreach of the Assemblies of God World Missions. With the help of volunteer healthcare professionals and generous donors. HCM uses medical evangelism to show compassion to people who are unreached by the Gospel and also, national church members. HCM partners with local missionaries and churches to set up five-day clinics that offer free medical care to bring “His Hope that Heals” to the nations. Our team will offer optical, dental and medical care in the clinic and present the Gospel message of salvation to every patient.
Garrett is the son of Roger and Sherry Medler.
