In Loving Memory of Grace Lavern Burleson

Gracie Lavern (Hart) Burleson, age 85, died January 11, 2017 at her home in Diehlstadt, Missouri.

Born November 4, 1931 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Daniel Lee and Anna Lee (Chambers) Hart. Gracie was a baptized Christian.

On November 4, 1957 she married John Douglas Burleson; he preceded her in death on December 21, 2000.

Gracie was the fifth of ten children. One brother, R.L. Hart; and three sisters, Ella Mae Eason, Martha Thompson and Margarette Simpson preceded her in death.

She is survived by five children, Kevin & Anna Heuiser of Sikeston, Dwight & Pamela Mills of Dexter, Missouri, Terry & Patricia Wilson of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Doug & Chlorena Burleson of Scott City, Missouri and Derek & Robyn Burleson of Benton, Missouri; two sisters, Peggy DeHart of Diehlstadt and Mary Etta White of Cabot, Arkansas; three brothers, Daniel Hart, Bob & Dessie Hart and Paul & Diane Hart all of Lonoke, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, B.J. Simpson of Hickory Plains, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Everett of Union City, Tennessee and Juanita & Ray Lowrey of Lexington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, DeAnna Heuiser, Brad & Tanya Heuiser, Doug & Jenny Wede, Scott Heuiser, Ben Mills & Jessica Snider, Carl & Jessica Herron, Ashley Wilson, Garrett & Grant Burleson; one honorary granddaughter, Tara Browning; and four great grandchildren, Aidan Heuiser, Elliot Heuiser, Jacob Wede and Hannah Wede.

Grace loved all her nieces, nephews and other loved ones; too many to name.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at Ponder Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Wede and Pastor Ken Johnson, chaplain of Tri-County Hospice will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Brad Heuiser, Scott Heuiser, Ben Mills, Doug Wede, Carl Herron, Garrett Burleson and Grant Burleson.

In Loving Memory of Regina Duckworth

Regina Duckworth, daughter of the late Glendell (Glen) Duckworth and Joy Johnson Duckworth was born August 1, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas and departed this life on January 10, 2017 at her residence in Jackson, Missouri at the age of 59.

Ms. Duckworth was a Registered Nurse and was employed at Southeast Health and Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was a member of the Millersville Baptist Church in Millersville, Missouri.

She is survived by her step-mother, Andrea Duckworth of Dexter, Missouri; by one step-brother, Mark Kirkbride of Olathe, Kansas; one step-sister, Laura Kirkbride of Seattle, Washington; by one aunt, Marlene Winstead of Dexter, Missouri; by two special cousins, Vickie Hunsperger and Debbie Harris, both of Dexter, Missouri; by other relatives and her four beloved Dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be conducted at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jim Hook officiating. A private Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN, 38105 or Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, 2536 Boutin Drive, Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701.

In Loving Memory of Jimmy Lynn Smith

Jimmy Lynn Smith of Parma, son of the late Willie Bon & Wilma Dean Reavis Smith, was born in Malden, Missouri on July 20, 1955, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on January 9, 2017, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 20 days.

Jimmy had lived in the Parma area all his life. He was an area manager with MFA Oil. He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, going to car shows and especially spending time with his family & friends.

On October 6, 1973, he married Brenda Sue Wibbenmeyer in Risco, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2015.

Surviving are one son & wife, Chris & Janice Smith of Risco; one daughter & husband, Teletia & Steve Prewett of Doniphan; six grandchildren and wife, Cody Lynn (Arriel) Smith, Samantha Ann Smith, Allen Prewett, J C Pinkerton, Ana Lyn Smith, Brittany Hall; three great grandchildren, Karrson Sisco, Madilynn Smith, Emberly Smith; three brothers & wife, Virgil Smith of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Ricky Smith of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Rocky & Joby Smith of Catron; and one sister, Nina Dorsey of Bentonville, Arkansas. Many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Ann Smith.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Travis Lambert of Lilbourn officiating.

Interment will be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons of Dexter in charge of all the arrangements.

In Loving Memory of Melba Sherfield

Melba J. Sherfield of Dexter, daughter of the late Willie Aubrey  and Grace Chasteen Fulkerson, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on August 15, 1921, and passed away at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter on January 8, 2017, at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 24 days.

She had lived in the Dexter area all her life. She was a proud homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith.

On September 4, 1947, she married Norman "Toby" Sherfield in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2002.

Surviving are three sons & wives, Roy & Maria Sherfield, Ronnie &  Marlene Sherfield all of Dexter, David & Kim Sherfield of Essex; three daughters & husbands, Barbara & Eddie Hill, Dena Lyons all of Dexter, Norma & David Corlew of Advance, ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Sherfield and one grandson, Bryan Lee Sherfield; one daughter Verna Jane Hampton.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Rev. Roy Sherfield officiating with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Randall J. Rancilio of Dexter, Missouri, son of the late Ralph Rancilio and June Rancilio of St. Louis, Missouri was born on June 17, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on January 5, 2017 at the age of 69.

Randall J. Rancilio served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietman War.  While on leave from the Air Force, he met and was united in marriage to Candace Candido on February 12, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife Candace Rancilio of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Melissa Hann and husband Shannon of Sikeston, Missouri and Angie Krewson and husband Tim of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, Dana Rancilio and wife Jeanne of Wildwood, Missouri, Darrell Rancilio and wife Sue of St. Louis, Missouri; by one sister, Debbie Hegykozi and husband Frank of St. Louis, Missouri; three granddaughters, Katilyn Krewson of Dexter, Missouri, Caeli Hann and Cori Hann of Sikeston, Missouri and one grandson, Austin Krewson of Dexter, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Rancilio and June Rancilio.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Greg McGhee of First Baptist Church of Dexter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wreaths Across America for the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri or Shriners Hospitals for Children in St. Louis, Missouri.
