Delmar Lane, son of the late Eugene Lane and Ida Mae Cole Lane was born April 16, 1927 in Vinson, Missouri and departed this life on January 2, 2017 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89.

Mr. Lane was a member of the Risen Church in Dexter. He was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge #2439 and Bloomfield Mason Lodge #153. He owned his own farm, which he farmed all his life until he retired.

He was united in marriage to Ruth O. Edwards on February 23, 1946 in Bloomfield.  She preceded him in death on December 31, 2013.

He is survived by two sons, Perry Lane of Dexter, Missouri and Tim Lane of Hillsboro, Missouri; by two daughters, Connie Wyatt of Fort Denaud, Florida and Cherie Chapman of Columbia, Missouri; by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Dennis Lane; by one granddaughter; by three brothers, Melvin Lane, Walter Lane, and George Lane(infant); by four sisters, Beulah Brown, Lela Dickerson, Mildred Renfro and Hazel Norman.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jeff Ross officiating. 

Interment will be follow at the Dexter Cemetery.
