Bernie, MO - Mark your calendar for this weekend to join members of the Bernie Church of Christ as they host Willie and James & Kaylee Franklin.  The event is dedicated to sharing Biblical principles to teenage youth about "Teen Focus on Teamwork". 

Willie Franklin has a long history of working with the youth in Southeast Missouri dating back to the 1980's.  His joyous approach to life and living out God's word through encouragement and love has been an incredible influence on countless individuals throughout his ministry travels. 

Willie Franklin played football for the University of Oklahoma and later professional football for the Rams and Colts. Today he plays for the Lord's team and urges college students to make spiritual goals! Willie became a Christian in college and has maintained a strong spiritual commitment. He has served God around the world, including New Guinea where he lived for 8 years. Willie is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Harding School of Biblical Studies.

James Franklin, Willie's son, was the University of Missouri Tigers starting quarterback from 2011 to 2013. He now plays for the Canadian Football League as quarterback for the Edmonton Eskimos. James is an outstanding young man with a passion for God.  James is married to his college sweetheart, Kaylee. They live year round in the Edmonton area.

The event will begin on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 PM with a lesson by Kason Lawrence.   A breakout sessions will follow at 3:00 PM as youth have an opportunity to go one-on-one with James and Kaylee.  There will be a Q&A session lead by Willie and James at 4:00 PM followed by a light meal served at the Bernie Church of Christ.  The evening events will begin at 6:00 PM with both James and Willie presenting a lesson.

Willie and James will also present the lessons on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and 10:15 AM, followed by an evening service at 5:00 PM presented by Willie.   There will be a Pot Luck meal following the Sunday morning worship service that everyone is invited to attend.

All area youth are invited and encouraged to attend.
