2016 Bloomfield Christmas All-Tournament Team

Bloomfield, Missouri - Another Bloomfield Christmas Tournament is in the books and the 60th annual didn't disappoint especially for one team, the Dexter Bearcats.  They took home the trophy for the first time in 12 years defeating Hayti in the Championship Game on Thursday evening. 

Hayti took second place. 

The Kennett Indians earned third place and the Bloomfield Wildcats finished 4th. 

Malden came in 5th, Portageville 6th.

Twin Rivers finished first place consolation and Bernie finished second place in consolation.

The Bloomfield Christmas All-Tournament Team was announced at the end of the Championship Game during the trophy presentations:

Dexter Bearcats - Jason Jarrell and Gabe Jackson

Hayti Indians - Kemron Rollings and Kedron Rollings

Kennett Indians - Jad Kenny

Bloomfield Wildcats - Peyton Bell

Malden Green Wave - Tyler Ison

Portageville Bulldogs - Ian Torrey

Twin Rivers Royals - Chance Wilkerson

Bernie Mules - Nate Dillinger

Doniphan Dons - Klay Barton

East Prairie Eagles - Casey Gregory

Bloomfield, Missouri - Congratulations to the 6'4" forward junior Nate Dillinger of Bernie, Missouri .  He led the list of the 60th Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament Leading Scorers for 2016 with a total of 92 points.

Top Ten Scorers:

Peyton Bell, Bloomfield 75

Jad Kenny, Kennett 60

Dushawn Butler, Malden 59

Clay Mullins and Gabe Jackson of Dexter had 58 and 54 respectively. Michael Suite of Bernie and Kedron Rollings of Hayti each had 50.  Jason Jarrell of Dexter finished with 49 and Timmy Hector of Bloomfield tallied 46 points during the four-day tournament.

Bernie Advances to Consolation Final at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bernie Mules take down the Puxico Indians in a SCAA battle at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament 73-56 to reach the Consolation Title Game!

Nate Dillinger led the Mules with 33 points hitting 13 buckets, 1 trey and was 4/6 at the charity stripe.

Michael Suiter recorded 19 points on 9 buckets and one from the free throw line.

Jayce Burke tallied one 3-pointer.

Levi Woods was the leading scorer for the Puxico Indians with 23 points. He was perfect at the charity stripe 4/4 and added one 3-pointer to his 8 field goals.

Dalton King and Braiden Jones tallied 14 and 12 points respectively for the Indians.

Final Score Bernie 73, Puxico 56

Twin Rivers Beats Van Buren, Advances to Consolation Final

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Twin Rivers Royals outscored Van Buren 62-49 to advance to the 60th Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament Consolation Final set for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29th.

Chance Wilkerson recorded a game-high 19 points for the Royals.  Shooting 9/11 at the charity stripe and hitting 5 buckets and 1 trey.

Jacob Mitchell added 17 points.  He was 4/4 at the free throw line, shot three treys and scored two buckets.

Hayden Thomas tallied 11 points.

Van Buren's Hayden Towner tallied a team-high 16 points.

Final Score Twin Rivers 62, Van Buren 49

Kennett Demolishes Doniphan Early to Secure a Spot in Semifinal Action

Bloomfield, Missouri - The #6 seed Kennett overpowered the #3 seed Doniphan early in the first quarter 19-0 to secure their win in game 16 quarterfinal action of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.  Kennett will move on to the semifinals on Wednesday against rival Dexter Bearcats at 8:30 p.m.

Coach Lennies McFerren has once again proven that Kennett is a formidable opponent even against a top seed.

At the half Kennett led 38-19 and continued their offensive drive adding another 30 points against the Dons.

Kenny led the Indians with a game-high 21 points.  Jay Davis recorded 14, Kinnon had 11 and Jarvis Stewart contributed 10 points.  Davis tallied one trey in the first quarter.

Doniphan's top scorer was Kaly Barton with 18.  Barton also had one 3-pointer.

Final Score Kennett 68, Doniphan 40
