Missouri - MSHSAA (Missouri High School Activities Association) has released their baseball Class and District assignments for the next two years on Friday, December 9, 2016.
Changes for Class 2: Senath-Hornersville will drop from Class 3 to Class 2 competing against Bernie, Bloomfield, Campbell, Hayti, Holcomb, and South Pemiscot.
Malden will remain in Class 3, but will move from District 1 to District 2 competing against Clearwater, Doniphan, East Carter County, Greenville, Puxico, and Twin Rivers.
Class 3, District 1 will remain intact with Caruthersville, Charleston, East Prairie, Kelly, Portageville, and Scott City.
New Madrid County Central will move up from Class 3 to Class 4. Sikeston will drop from Class 5 to Class 4. NMCC and Sikeston will both compete in Class 4, District 1 against Dexter, kennett, Notre Dame, Fredericktown, and Perryville.

Poplar Bluff, Missouri - The Mules Booster Club named softball standout Adrienne Stucker and football star Tyson Cox of Poplar Bluff High School the Athletes of the Month for October.
Cox holds the single game yardage record of 241, single season record of 1,313 and career receiving record of 1,884 yards, and he is only a junior. He was unanimously voted to first team All-Conference as a wide receiver. In the classroom, he maintains an 8.64 GPA.
Cox’s head coach Mark Barousse called him a “great kid” and “hard worker,” adding that he “always does what is best for the team.”
Stucker, also a junior, ended the softball season 13-1 with an ERA of 1.77, pitching a total of 83 innings, while striking out 86 and only walking 10. She also maintained a batting average of .350 with 16 RBIs and three homeruns. She made first team All-Conference and All-District, and was the SEMO Conference Player of the Year.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The 60th Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament seeds have been released. The 16-team tournament begins December 26, 2016.

Dexter defeated Twin Rivers 79-61 in the 2014 Championship game and in 2013 the Lady Cats defeated Neelyville 63-45 in the Championship. They also won the 2012 and 2011 Lady Royals Classics.
Dexter, Missouri - Athletes earned their first time letters during the annual Fall Sports Recognition program. The Bearcat Booster Club purchases the letter "D" for all first time letter winners.
