Holiday Meal at Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post

Dexter, Missouri - Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post #59 held their Thanksgiving and Christmas meal last night at the Dexter post.

A group of about 35 members and their families gathered for a potluck style dinner with ham, turkey and white beans on the menu.

Post commander, Eric Smith, welcomed the attendees with a short talk about the upcoming activities at the post.  Post chaplain, Junior Cagle blessed the meal and the fun began.

The Kenady-Hanks Post will hold their monthly food pantry next Thursday, December 8th.  The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and will remain open until 6:00 p.m. or at which point everyone has been served.  Food pantry events are held the second Thursday of each month and will continue during the 2017 calendar year.

The executive committee met regarding the January 2017 meeting and has decided to cancel that meeting.  The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6:00 PM.

Kenady-Hanks Post is located at 420 West Oak Street in Dexter and membership dues are $30 annually.  You can reach Commander Eric Smith at kanedyhankspost59@sbcglobal.net.
