Marvin Stevens, son of the late Earl Stevens and Gertrude Jane Phillips Stevens, was born on January 17, 1940 at Dexter and departed this life on November 28, 2016 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 76.

Mr. Stevens served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, a painter and a resident of Dexter.

He is survived by one nephew, Jody Lee Stevens of Advance and one cousin, Sharon Delene McIntyre of Bloomfield.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Dennis Stevens and one half-sister, Sharon Justice.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral will be conducted on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.
