In Loving Memory of Christine Mansfield

Christine Mansfield, daughter of the late Star and Elizabeth Grampp Hart was born on January 5, 1926 in Catron, Missouri and departed this life on November 22, 2016 at the Malden Nursing Center at the age of 90.    

On November 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Neal Ivan Mansfield in Dexter.  Mr. Mansfield preceded her in death on March 15, 2013.

Mrs. Mansfield completed High School, which was very uncommon back then, and went on to college getting a degree in nursing. In 1969 she went back to dental college becoming a Dental Assistant in 1970 for Dr. Minton in Dexter for many years where she encountered many new friends. Christine was an avid gardner and loved traveling with Mr. Mansfield. Her friends and family always received quilts, toys, and other gifts from her amazing embroidery and crocheting ability.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Mansfield of Dudley; by one brother, Stan Hart of Fort Collins, Colorado; by one sister, Sue Fulks of Camp Verde, Arizona; by one daughter in law, Judy Mansfield of Wentzville, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Travis Allen Swallows, Lisa Ann Lucy, Jeffrey Neal Swallows, Russell Leroy Mansfield and David Ray Mansfield; and by seven great-grandchildren, Bradley Swallows, Jeffrey Swallows, Ellaina Swallows, Cole Swallows, Madison Mansfield, Doug Mansfield and Ira Mansfield.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Ray Mansfield; by two brothers, Ed Hart and Bill Hart; and by one sister, Marie Roussel.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at 2:00 P.M.

Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all the arrangements.

Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
