In Loving Memory of Rev. William Elledge

Rev. William Elledge son of the late Robert Fisher Elledge and Sarah Elizabeth Ladd Elledge was born on December 24, 1909 in Lutesville, Missouri and departed this life on November 12, 2016 at the Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois at the age of 106 years, 10 months, and 19 days.

Rev. Elledge was a former pastor and member of the Prospect General Baptist Church in Lake St. Louis. He started his ministry in 1939 and became an ordained minister in 1941 followed by 67 years of pastoring many churches in Southeast Missouri including, First Baptist Church of Dexter, Hopewell Baptist Church near Essex, and Bernie General Baptist; also, pastored Church’s in Kansas and Nebraska. 

He was a member of Zalma and Bernie Masonic Lodge, St. Louis Scottish Rites 32nd Degree Mason, and Andrew Jackson Sword of Bunker Hill Order.

He was united in marriage to Lena Jane Eaker on December 24, 1928 at Lutesville, Missouri.  Rev. Elledge and his wife were married for 73 years. Mrs. Elledge preceded him in death on April 28, 2002.

Survivors include; one grandson, Chris Elledge and one daughter, Oralee Elledge both of Collinsville, Illinois.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, John Edwin Elledge and William Channing Elledge; also by thirteen brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4:30 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday November 15, 2016. 

Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Denver Eaker and Rev. Norman Elledge officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Ruth Ann Mann, 69, of McClure, Illinois died Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at her home.

She was born February 18, 1947 in Dexter, MO to Loyd and Opal Cornelison Edwards.

She and Jerry Charles Mann were married June 28, 1963 in Dexter, Missouri.

She had worked in housekeeping at Southeast Hospital for 11 years. Ruth loved spending time with her granddaughter and enjoyed going to car shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Linda Sue Edwards and Marilyn Cagle, father and mother in law, Charles and Clodina Pruett Mann, and brother in law, Rod Corlew.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2016 at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating.

Burial will be at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association, 425 S. Woods Mill Rd 110, Town and Country, MO 63017.

In Loving Memory of Glin Harrison

Glin Harrison, 86, of Dexter, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.  Glin was born September 19, 1930 in Trenton, Tennessee to Glin and Bessie Harrison.

He married the girl of his dreams, Sophia Bevill on February 20, 1949 in Keiser, Arkansas.  They lived in Blytheville, Arkansas for one year before moving to Dudley, Missouri where Mr. Harrison was engaged in farming for the next 50 years.  He was one of the first rice farmers in Stoddard County.  He cleared and developed thousands of acres of farmland.  He was a business-minded man and that led him to many opportunities outside of farming.

Three of his greatest joys in life were his daughters, Teresa, Connie and Glinda.  He adored them.

Mr. Harrison was a member of the Eagles and a charter member of the Elks.  He enjoyed visiting and talking with his friends.  Mr. Harrison was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his dear wife of the home, Sophia Harrison; three daughters and their husbands; Teresa and Mike Mick of Doniphan, Connie and Wayne Mays of Dexter and Glinda and Terryl Almond of Dexter;  one sister, Sara Carter of Austin, Texas;  three grandchildren, Scott Moore of Dudley, Rachel Almond of Phoenix, Arizona and Rebekah Sims of Elletsville, Indiana;  by nine great-grandchildren, Conner Moore, Colton Moore, Hannah Moore, Paige Moore, Adi Moore, Sophia Moore, Harper Sophia Sims, Deacon Sims and Harrison Lidle;  and by two great-great grandchildren, Jada Schafer and Carson Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glin and Bessie Harrison, one brother, Robert Harrison and by two grandsons, David Glin Moore and Hugh Michael Mick.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Crescencia Maldonado, daughter of the late Longino Ortiz and Genoveva Rodriguez Ortiz was born on April 13, 1934 in Hidalgo, Texas and departed this life on November 13, 2016 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 82.

Mrs. Maldonado attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter.  She was a former employee of Swift Poultry and Federal Mogul, a home-maker and a resident of Dudley, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Manfredo Maldonado.  Mr. Maldonado preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Henry Maldonado and wife Renauta of Dudley; by two daughters and sons-in-law, Hilda and Joe Bradshaw of Bernie and Hilma and Jose Reyes of Dudley; by ten grandchildren and by eighteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Harry Maldonado, by one brother, Roberto S. Alaniz and by two sisters, Ramona G. Sauceda and Guadalupe M. Trevino.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. 

Services will be conducted on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Brother Jerry Martin officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Archie Gaylon Walpole

Archie Gaylon Walpole, son of the late Archie Sanders Walpole and Ivogene Cohn Walpole was born on December 15, 1942 in Kennett and departed this life on November 11, 2016 in the emergency room of the Southeast Health of Stoddard County at the age of 73.

Mr. Walpole attended the Vision of Hope Church at Frisco, was a veteran of the United States Army and had formerly worked at Fabick Caterpillar in Sikeston as a welder. 

He was united in marriage to Sarah June Jarrell on July 29, 1967 in Charleston.  Mrs. Walpole survives of the home in Dexter.

He is survived by his wife; by one daughter, Sabra Mayberry and husband Keith of Essex; and by one brother Larry Eugene Walpole and wife Mary of Bloomfield; by three grandchildren, Caitlyn Mayberry, Cole Mayberry and Cayla Mayberry of Essex.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister Pamela Kay Walpole.

Friends may call at Rainey Mathis Funeral Home on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Stevens and Rev. James Malloy officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.
