Meet the Candidate Forum to be Held

Dexter, Missouri - The Stoddard County Farm Bureau will host a Meet the Candidate forum on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

The forum will be held at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall on One Mile Road.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with the forum beginning at 6:00 p.m.

To date the following candidates have confirmed Tila Hubrecht, Bill Burlison, Carol Jarrell, and Jason Williams.  Jay Ashcroft may be able to come for about an hour.

Bernie Police Dept Receives Donation

Bernie, Missouri - The Three Rivers Citizens Advisory Board recently donated $684.00 to the Bernie Police Department.

The funds were used to purchase Magnetic Locks to enhance security at their department.

The money is generated from private probation service ran by the Three Rivers Citizens Advisory Board and returns all profits to the communities which it serves.

City of Dexter Striping One Mile Road

Dexter, Missouri - The City of Dexter will be striping One Mile Road on Tuesday, October 4th beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Dexter police department will be on hand to help with managing traffic.

The striping will begin at the railroad crossing by Busy B Lumber and go north ending at SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County.

"We will start after the school traffic has ended on Tuesday morning," commented city administrator Mark Stidham.  "We hope to be done by noon; however it is suggested that if driving in the area to take an alternate route to help with traffic flow."
