Dexter, Missouri - 2016 Miss Heartland Pageants were held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Dexter High School Auditorium.

The Miss Heartland Pageants are a fundraiser for the Dexter High School choral department under the direction of educator Jamie Sepulvado.

The sixth pageant of the day was Junior Miss Heartland, thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen years of age.

2016 Junior Miss Heartland was awarded to Alexa Werneck.  First alternate was Molly Murphy and second alternate was Chloe Thurmon.

Congratulations to all of the young ladies. Typically the girls will ride in the annual Stoddard County Fair Parade on Tuesday, September 20th
