Jerry W. Wheeling, son of the late Charley Wheeling and Ethel Crayne Wheeling, was born on July 26, 1943 in Holcomb, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at the age of 73.

Mr. Wheeling employed with food service at the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He also owned and operated the Jerry Wheeling Piano Tuning Service. He was a loving husband and caring father.

He was united in marriage to Gayle Hopkins on March 23, 1981 and she resides of the home.

Survivors include; two sons, Greg Wheeling of Columbia, Missouri and Ryan Wheeling of Essex, Missouri; one daughter, Mindy Ruppel and husband Brad of Dexter, Missouri; three sisters, Alma Mae Wilfong of Campbell, Missouri; Marie Goss of Holcomb, Missouri; Evelyn Patterson of Kennett, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Zane Ruppel, Ryan Ruppel, Jake Ruppel.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Buddy Wheeling and one infant brother James Delbert Wheeling and by one sister Velma Woodall.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. 

Services will be conducted on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Patsy Beaver officiating. 

Interment will follow in Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
