In Loving Memory of Maura Nicole Peters

Maura Nicole Peters, daughter of John Peters and Kristina Edwards was born on November 25, 1996 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the age of 19.    

Maura was a student at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center and a home-maker.

She is survived by her finance Dalton Matthew Umfleet, Dexter, Missour; mother Kristina Edwards of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; father, John Peters of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her brother, Cameron Edwards of Dexter; one sister, Rivers Robbie Ann Peters; by grandparents, Gene and Susan Gaines, Mike and Lauretta Edwards, and Ron and Karen Peters; great grandmother, Willa Gardner; by seven aunts, Katrina Edwards, Shelly Trout, Mystie Tankersley, Sarah Sanduskey, Vicki Peters, Leslie Peters, and Gina Gaines; also by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Dorthy Edwards and great-grandfather, Robert L. Edwards.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. at the Light House Christian Center in Dexter. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, September 7, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Light House Christian Center with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.

In Loving Memory of Bryson Matthew Umfleet

Bryson Matthew Umfleet, son of Dalton Matthew Umfleet and Maura Nicole Peters was born on December 2, 2015 and departed this life on Friday September 2, 2016 at the age of 9 months.

He is survived by his father, Dalton Matthew Umfleet of Dexter; by his grandmother, Kristina Edwards of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; grandfather, John Peters of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Dawn Marie Carlson and Mike Carlson; great-grandparents, Gene and Susan Gaines, Mike and Lauretta Edwards, Ron and Karen Peters, Don and Caroline Henson; by great-great-grandmothers, Willa Gardner and Bonnie Musgrave and by two uncles, Cameron Edwards and Logan Carlson; two aunts, Rivers Robbie Ann Peters and Hannah Carlson.

Bryson and his mother, Maura Nicole Peters perished in an accident on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Dexter.

He was preceded in death by one great-grandmother, Debbie Cantrell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 11:00 until 1:00 P.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, September 7, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Lighthouse Christian Center with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.

In Loving Memory of Allen Kelley

Allen Kelley, age 67, passed away on September 3, 2016 at his home in Essex. Allen was born in Siketson, Missouri to the late Norman Kelley and Ola Hill Kelley.

He worked for the Missouri Division of Social Services for twenty-two and a half years. Allen was a member of the Essex Church of Christ.  He had a love of animals, especially his cats and spent many hours caring for them.  He also enjoyed camping with his brother, Jerry. 

He graduated from Richland High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

He is survived by one brother, Billy Kelley of Essex; by four sisters, Judy Armstrong of Clarksville, Tennessee, Paula Byrd of Sikeston, Missouri, Pam Woosley of Essex and Regina Martin of Essex and by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Kelley; by one brother in law, Darrell R. Martin and by one niece, Shawna Godwin.

A graveside service was conducted on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Herman Morse officiating.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Loving Memory of Hailey Elizabeth Laws

Hailey Elizabeth Laws, daughter of Clarence Laws Jr. and Sandra Miller Williamson was born August 8, 1996 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the age of 20.

Hailey was a 2015 graduate of Richland High School and was a student at Three Rivers Community College in Dexter.    

She is survived by her fiance’, Alex Lynn Crider of Bloomfield; by her mother and step-father, Sandra and Travis Williamson of Essex; her father and step-mother Clarence Jr. and Tonya Laws of Sikeston; one sister, Brittany Barker of Essex; two brothers, Chase Laws of Portageville and Jeffrey Barker of Essex; by her paternal grandmother, Sherri Laws of Portageville; paternal grandmother, Fern Taylor of Essex; and by her paternal grandfather, Glenn Williamson of Bloomfield.    

Hailey and her son, Weston Lynn Crider perished in an accident together on Friday, September 2, 2016.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 11:00 A. M. until 1:00 P. M.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. with Rev. James Malloy officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Floye Creed

Floye Creed of Bloomfield, daughter of the late John Floyd and Nellie Casey White, was born in Clarksville, Arkansas on July 1, 1926, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on September 3, 2016, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 3 days.

Mrs. Creed had lived in the Bloomfield area all of her life. She was a member of the  Church in .

She was married to Doy Creed, he preceded her in death on October 18, 2008.

Surviving are three sons, Doy W. Creed of Dexter, Kenny Creed of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Danny Cross of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Bean of Milton, Washington.Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Effie Allen, Roma Duke and Velva Farris.

Friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
