Dexter, Missouri - More than 170 children and adults packed the library on Wednesday to see Ray Carrillo of Carrillo's Martial Arts Studio demonstrated self-defense moves at the Summer Reading Program, "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!"
Several defense techniques were demonstrated for children of all ages and could be put to good use by adults as well. Carrillo would show the most common way of trying to get away from a potential kidnapper, then he would have his students demonstrate the "self-defense" way. Students had a wonderful time learning while they watched his students demonstrate.
Carrillo's Martial Arts Studio is located at 16 S. Walnut Street in Dexter. You can also check out their website by clicking HERE or their Facebook page.
